I try to incorporate beauty products that are natural &/or organic into my daily routine. I was thirilled to be able to sample this smoothing serum.
The positives: The serum was not too thick or too thin...good consistancy for a serum.
It spread evenly on the skin & felt smooth during application.
One pump can treat the whole face & neck.
Nice packaging.
Goes on slightly sticky but that feeling does disappear.

The negatives: The smell...just too strong for me & it lingers.
Too many ingredients that are not "natural" or "organic".
Does not moisturize whatsoever. My dry skin felt tight after use.
No difference in my skin's appearance.

This product is supposed to "improve the skin's suppleness", but I found that moisturizing creams can supply this benefit. I will continue to use the smoothing serum & ewill only recommend it if I see long term results in my skin's appearance.

This product seemed to be high quality by the packaging that contained it. The scent was pleasant not overpowering. The lotion was absorbed completely, it is non greasy and it felt pleasant and soothing/cooling. The only problem, is that it is supposed to prevent or diminish the signs of aging...the tiny lines that many of us suffer from. Well even tho it had all the other great qualities, it did absolutely nothing at all for the fine lines. so I cant rate this as a high quality product, it doesnt stand up to its claims.

I like the way this product feels on the skin. It ceratainly makes it soft. I am fine with the smell too. I think many might not agree with me on the smell part.
I use lot of organic n natural oils,so for me the smell was fine.
Only thing is I think I might need to get used to this particular,coz I am sneezing when I apply it. It might be that I am allergic to 1 of the oils,or its too natural for me.
I know that it happens to me whenever its made with natural oils.
So it might be just me ,n not for all

over all i like the consistency of the serum. I have a combi skin,and I did not break out etc. So would work fine for oily skin too.

As far as anti wrinkle propert,I need to use it for few more days to comment on that.

From the 5 days I have been using it, these are my thoughts;

-serum is very light and fluid; somewhat greasy texture
-initially concerned about the greasiness, but the serum absorbed into my skin quickly and did not leave any residue
-left skin soft and smooth
-lovely, light, citrus fragrance
-great easy-to-dispense pump
-reasonable price at ~$24

I would need to test this product longer to note any changes to my skin as a result of using it, but I'm enjoying it so far and will continue to use it!

I received this product as part of the product advisor club and much appreciated the freebie! I have used Body Shop products in the past but not recently. I have generally found their products to be of good quality but a little on the pricey side. This product retails for about 25 bucks CDN.
I have not made a habit of using a serum in the past. I am in my late 20’s and have found any other kind of “pre-moisturizing” lotion to be too thick on my skin and experienced breakouts. It just didn’t seem like a necessary part of my skin care routine. I was excited to try this product though, because it seemed lighter and more apt for younger skin. I have mostly normal skin with a pimple once in a while. I would say that my skin tends to be a little sensitive as many products have made me break out. I am medium fair with a few freckles. I have a few small lines around my eyes but no real signs of aging. I was hoping that this product would refine the tone and texture of my skin.
This product comes in a cardboard box which as I’ve stated in other reviews I have mixed emotions about. I like the box but I don’t like extra packaging. The product comes in an opaque tube which some people may not like because they like to see the product but I actually like the opaque container as then the product is protected from light. This product seems to have a lot of oils in it and I know that sunlight has a detrimental effect on the integrity of the product. I also like the pump because I don’t like wasting product and one squirt is the perfect amount to smooth over your face. The colour and print on the packing is very “natural” looking and appealing.
This serum feels light on the fingers and has a non-greasy feel which I was relived at because of the many oils listed on the ingredients. As I said earlier, one squirt is the perfect amount and applies smoothly and evenly on my face. The smell of the product is so-so but it doesn’t linger which is nice. The product is very quickly absorbed and leaves a non-greasy feel on my face. I still use moisturizer but I have cut the amount by about 1/3 as I don’t want too much thickness on my face and it’s Summertime which means I use less as the air is less dry. After applying moisturizer my face feels smooth and clean.
I resisted reviewing this product in the first week of getting it because I wanted to wait at least 10 days to really get a feel for how the results would be. I am actually very pleased with this product. No breakouts, my skin is actually smoother and the tone appears to be more even. This may also be because I have been out on my bike a bit and got some sun but I actually think the serum has something to do with it. I will probably stop using this product for about a week in a little bit just to see what it’s like when I stop it and I shall update at that time with additional details.

This product claims to be largely organic and natural and it seems like a more natural product but I am also one of those people who know that most everything, no matter how natural has some artificial emulsifiers and preservatives. It’s not something that is a real deal breaker for me but something I really like is that Body Shop products are not tested on animals.

To conclude I would say that I really like this product. I have a feeling that when it’s gone I will buy it again. I would also definitely try the rest of the line. Definitely recommend it. Thanks for the product to review!

I like this serum a lot! It's super lightweight and it absorbed quickly, without leaving any sticky or greasy residue behind. I don't have any lines on my face, so I can't speak for that, but I did notice that my complexion was more luminous and I didn't have any breakouts, which sometimes happens when I try a new product. I used it both in the morning and at night, but I liked using it in the morning better because it has a really nice citrus smell which helped to wake me up. My skin is very soft thanks to this serum.

I found the texture of the serum to be very smooth and light. My skin easily absorbed the serum upon application and didn't feel sticky or greasy as other serums usually do. I did receive the product late, but started using it immediately and I feel as if some of the lines on my face (especially around my smile) have softened since I started using the product. The scent is very citrus and fruity.

I have been using this since I received it. This took the place of what I used to use (when hope is not enough).
My skin is brighter, and looks healthier. Also my breakouts were minimal. Not sure if it has anything to do with this serum or not.

Great product! Nutriganics Serum is designed to improve the effects of your normal moisturiser and cleanser. It is very light and absorbs into the skin easily.The scent is very citrus and fruity making it a delight to apply.

I often buy products at the body shop but I never really went as far to try their face products. When the opportunity to try one came along due to being a member of the very great and generous Chick Advisor site(Yes the one you're on now). I quickly filled out the applicant survey and was delighted to find shortly after that I got picked!

So heres my thoughts and experiences with the Nutriganic smoothing serum by Body Shop.

I have been using it for around 2weeks to get a good idea of how it reacts and improves my skin.
I applied the serum immediately after my daily shower and put on my own moisturizer over it as directed(I didn't have the Nutriganic moisturizer with the review). I found the serum to have a nice milky like texture that absorbed very rapidly. Which I love because I want my face routine to be quick during the work week. A very little of the serum goes a long way but move it around quickly as the skin just seems to drink it up.

Even after applying my make up I noticed my skin looked different and not because I have applied make up! It had this sort of glow it hasn't had in years. It looked hydrated and the tone was more even. (hello I'm looking 20 again!)This was just on the first day! So I was way more motivated to keep using the product to see the long term effects.

So after repeating the daily applications of the serum and my own moisturizer I have noticed the fine lines I have on my forehead to reduce in depth and appearance. They are not GONE but they are definitely far less noticeable and I swear they are vanishing every day that passes. I really wish I could of had experienced the full line since the serum is only part of the Nutriganics system. I'll definitely look into them when I go to the body shop.

I will definitely continue using this product daily as it seems to be doing something right and its not an expensive creme/serum that promises you a face lift in a bottle. Its just a sweet community trade organic serum that works the wonders of nature. I like knowing that I'm not rubbing some man made ingredient into my skin. That gives me the Hebe jeebies! This stuff just makes me feel all down to earth.

So if you enjoyed my review I take it you're reading this far and going okay great it works for her but will it work on me? Well we aren't sisters or anything but I can tell you this. It will definitely keep your skin hydrated. I hope that it will work its wonders on your skin like it has mine. So yes I would definitely recommend it to YOU and yes YOU shaking your head. Also if you have noticed fine lines appearing I would highly suggest you try this especially since it works to diminish the fine lines.
