This is a serum but it's not the clear runny kind, it's almost a lotion. I'm applying it in the morning after toner and before moisturizer. It absorbs perfectly and doesn't leave any residue or oiliness, it's very light and not as noticeable as an lotion would be. I'm not a fan of the scent, nor of the results. It just doesn't have any immediate benefits to using it. But I like that as a serum it absorbs so well, I can see using it as a light moisturizer if needed.

Having tried HIGH end serums - This one is just ok - I do love organic hand made soaps etc
But when it comes to face care - i always think it's better to go with BRANDS that are known for their facial care -
Not a beauty snob - but because I have tried so many brands - I have seen way better results with the bigger - Non organic brand

I recieved this product about a week ago to test out and provide a review. The packaging was interesting as it didn't provide a whole heck of a lot of information about the product and had many different languages on it. I do love the fact that the serum comes in a pump format which helps to control the amount of serum on your fingers as well as keeps it clean from the environment and fingers. The serum claims to soften, rejuvenate, improve skin suppleness with organic ingredients such as babbassu oil. I have combination skin but depending on the weather and my stress level my skin can become really oily. I did get some breakouts on my chin - -although not fully sure whether it was due to the product or the fact that I've been a little stressed. I noticed slight changes on my skin. My face does seem a lot softer and does have a slight glow to it. I do have some acne scarring on my face and didn't really notice a big change in helping the scars. The serum is very light, a little watery which is great as it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. A serum you definately want a little watery for easier application on the face. The one thing that I didn't like too much was the scent of the product. It had a very earthy, organic smell which kind of reminded me the scent of Aveda products. It's not overly overpowering (does go away), but you do have to get use to the smell of it - I think you either love it or hate it. At $25, not sure that I would fully recommend the product to my friends (a little steep in price) as I have used products that are less than $25 that provided me with the same results I saw with this product. I would however consider purchasing the product if it was on sale at Body Shop.

great opportunity to sample a promising product. no offensive smell or side effects. however, it didnt do anything i expected a smoothing serum to do. a bit sticky. there are plenty of other products available that do a much better job for the money.

I received the serum from the review club. I was so excited and tried that on immediately. However, I stopped using that after a week when I got a few pimples. The serum smelled like "yeast" which I did not like at all. The serum was watery but did not absorbed by my skin which stayed on the surface only. I had to wash away a few hours as it created a sticky feeling.

I was thrilled to receive this product for review! I have been using at night and in the morning on my face, neck and chest for the past 2 weeks. The serum smells natural, is very light weight with a relatively quick absorption. I like the fact that many of the ingredients are organic, and that some are from fair trade sources. I'm 41, have clear skin that hardly ever breaks out, but tend to get a shine on my T-zone. I did notice that my face was a bit more oily looking while I was using this. I feel like my neck and chest is the area on me that is starting to age and look older (I'm 41). Unfortunately, I didn't really see any changes there and I haven't really noticed any change in my skin's suppleness in the past 2 weeks. Overall, the product is a nice, light moisturizer but it didn't blow me away.

I have combination skin and still tend to break out along my forehead and chin so I was nervous about applying this to my T-zone since it's not oil free. Instead, I've been using it around my eyes and cheeks and no issues with clogged pores. There's definitely a scent but it's not bothersome. I find the application quite smooth and light. My skin feels softer in those areas but I don't know if I would say that it's visibly smoother.

It's only been a bit over a week of use so I'll continue to use it. I like that it's made of natural ingredients and I haven't noticed any issues of irritation. So far it seems like an average serum to me but the price is quite reasonable.

Thank you to the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club for including me in the group who got to try The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Serum.

I have been using the serum on the right side of my face only for about 12 days now. At this point I am sad to report that I can not see any difference from the left to the right side of my face, as far a fine lines or skin texture. The product has an odour that is not offensive, but it's good that it doesn't hang around too long after application. I like the texture of the serum; light and absorbs quickly. However, I still used my regular moisturizer over it.

After a few days of using the product I noticed a few small pimples on my chin and near my nose. I started avoiding those areas when I applied the serum and they cleared up. I now only use it around my eyes.

I hope that with longer and consistent use I will see a change in my very few and very fine lines as well at the texture of my skin. But at this, early stage, I have very little to report.

As I have experienced a breakout and not seen the results I was expecting I would have to say, at this point, I would not recommend this product.

Should I find more to report, after further use, I will update this review.

I received The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Serum through the product review club and have been using it daily. I kept looking for a 'pamphlet' to direct me on how to use the product but it didn't come with one. Most skin care lines come with directions on how to use them, the only place you are told to use the product is on the box! No big deal really but I would have liked a bit more info on the product. I can't say I'm a fan of the scent- I had friends over last week and when I put some on my face everyone was commenting on the unattractive scent! The smell does fade quickly enough but I wouldn't recommend wearing it if you have a hot date ;-) I had a 'minor' breakout last week when using the product but my skin looks great this week, I guess my face was just getting used to the new product. My skin does feel softer after using the product and I have very, very tiny laugh lines when I smile that I can't even notice anymore. So I'll credit Nutriganics to helping with that. The price is great ($25) especially since I have spent MUCH more using Estee Lauder. I would buy it again but would probably do so in the winter months when my skin needs an extra dose of moisture!

I noticed on the website (http://www.thebodyshop.ca/nutriganicssmoothingserum.html) that it's normally $24/bottle and is now on sale for $15/bottle. Can't say I'd fork out $24 to try this, but if it's on sale, why not. Has a light scent which might bother some because it's smells very "organic" and natural (i.e., not flowery). I personally don't really like the smell but it's light enough that it eventually goes away.

Goes on watery, but that's okay. My skin seems to just drink it up. 1 pump is all you need. Skin does look softer and more supple (like it's actually hydrated). All in all, nothing mind-boggling or spectacular. The fact that it's organic might make it special in comparison with other Body Shop products but there are other organic products out there that work just as well, if not better. My personal preference is to fork out a little more to get something like Eminence products.
