I love tea tree oil, but not this one. It's way too expensive for the amount of product you are getting and it's not even pure. I buy mine from Walmart with $10 but the bottle is a lot bigger and is pure.
This is a potent teeny tiny bottle of Tea Tree oil. It has a special cap so you can't spill it all out. I've been happy using this when my skin gets more blemishes. I feel like it works on any flare ups. It has a very very strong smell, I say it's like Vicks Vaporub and so it smells medicinal... maybe that makes me think it's more effective. I've used it both straight onto problem zones, and have diluted it with water to cleanse the whole face. If you have blemish/complexion issues I would give this a try. The only downside is the smell which you'll either love or hate. The smell is so strong that personally I can't apply it right before bed b/c I can't sleep with strong scents in the room, but I'm sure some people would find it soothing.
nice product, if anyone has use tee tree before this is a nice extracted oil.
Works good on scrapes and bruises.
To bad the bottle is so small, but used properly it will last a year.
I use tea tree oil for so many things with amazing results, one of my favorites is using it on my face and in my shampoo. Since using it with my face wash I rarely get acne. The smell takes a little getting used to because it does smell a bit medicated at first but I have grown to love it!
I got this during a buy-2-get-1-free event at the Body Shop. I use tea tree oil regularly for all sorts of things... I add a few drops to my shampoo in the winter in case I get flakes, I dilute it in water and spray some on my pillow as a scent-refresher, and I use it as a spot treatment on my face.
For what this product is, it's fine. But honestly you don't need to buy the Body Shop one. London Drugs has 100% pure tea tree oil (and I've seen a 2-for-1 pack) for about $12. The Body Shop sells their tiny little bottle for about $8 and it's only 20% tea tree oil.
For travel, it's fantastic. What I do is pop off the top and refill it with my giant bottle from London Drugs and take the little guy with me on trips. The drop-dispensor is good at dispensing a fair amount and not pouring the product everywhere.
Still, for the price, it's too small and only 20%. I'd much rather get a huge bottle at 100% potency for only a few dollars more.
This product didn't really work for me...not sure if it's because I didn't use it long enough. I didn't notice a difference in the amount of acne I had. The scent put me off a little bit...it was quite strong. & I felt like the way the packaging was designed I wasn't able to get the product's worth. I applied it with a q-tip and most of it would absorb in the q-tip.
