This book was originally written under Anonymous, which is what caught my attention in the first place! It's quite hard to find and a girlfriend had to order our copies from amazon (and they only had used copies since they no longer publish the book to be sold in stores!) It was originally written under Anonymous because it's a first hand experience written book... everything the author writes about is exactly what she was going through! She thought her real-life husband wouldn't appreciate it, so under Anonymous it was! Until he in fact found out about it, and divorced her! That's when she released it under her real name! (Hence, there are two covers for this book!)

The story is her journey through life and her deepest sexual desires! She is very blunt and open, and if sex is something that you shy from, you may not enjoy this book! I thought it was very well written and empowering! Something for the more adventurous reader!

The Bride Stripped Bare is an unusual novel about a woman’s deepest desires. It follows an anonymous woman who has disappeared, leaving behind a half finished novel with lessons learned from her own life. The woman has married Cole, a man who proves to be distant and sexually boring. Her lifelong best friend Theo is a sex therapist whose sexual prowess intimidates our heroine. Upon discovering that Cole may or may not have had an affair with Theo, the woman is sent into a tailspin. The novel chronicles her journey to a sexual awakening and illicit affair.

The book is written in a very interesting manor, and describes a woman’s deepest thoughts both sexually and emotionally. I found this book to be very dark and somewhat disturbing. However it is a very interesting read, and I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind reading the kind of book that makes you feel awkward to read in public, if you catch my drift…
