I wish I had found the diva cup sooner! I've always had heavy periods, but after the birth of my daughter, they were unreal. I was having to use a super plus tampon, overnight pad and a panty liner and still change every 2 hours. I had to wake up several times at night to change or there would be leaks. It was awful. The diva cup is so discreet and feels like you're not wearing anything. It might take some getting used to when you first start using it and for peace of mind, I recommend using a liner as well. But after a few uses, you get the hang of it and It can last for hours (depending on your flow). You can easily preserve optimum hygiene and in the long run you also save time, money and hassle of having to remember to run to the store or take extra products with you when you're on the go. It makes life SO much easier!

The Diva cup is a silicone cup you insert like a tampon, that can hold up to 2oz of blood, which is more than the average flow for an entire week. you have 0 risk of TSS and can leave it in for as long as you find comfortable. I have personally left it in for up to 18 hours. It can be used for swimming, and I sleep naked so we'll say there are no leeks as long as it is used properly. Every time you remove the cup, wash it with warm water and soap, clearing out the holes and removing all yuckys. Word of WARNING. if you leave the cup in for more than 4 hours it starts to smell bad, so try not to leave it in for any longer than the average tampon. It lasts as long as you clean it properly. I have had mine for a year.

I love the DivaCup! Now that's not to say theirs not going to be some lets call them "misunderstandings" in the beginning because let's face it learning how to to properly use this isn't a lot of fun! Once you have learned how to use the DivaCup you will never want to look back.
