Total game changer! Can't say enough good things and recommend to all the ladies in my life. I'm way too excited about feminine hygiene now. It's a bit of a learning curve, but totally manageable. Lasts 12 hours, no leaks. It's really comfortable if it's in correctly and I often forget that I even have my period. I work in healthcare and it's relieving to not have to worry about changing a tampon when I'm running around. I took my Diva cup travelling and it revolutionized packing. Takes up barely any space - I am no longer faced with the dilemma of filling my bag with tampons or having to buy feminine hygiene products in a foreign country. I used to try and plan hiking trips around my period cause no one wants to pack that stuff out but I don't worry about that at all anymore! The fact that it's environmentally friendly is another plus! Basically, if you haven't figured it out already, my Diva Cup changed my life.
Love The Diva Cup. It was a learning curve learning how to place it best, but after that it was great. It is not as messy as you might think it would be. It lasts 12 hours without running the risk of complications like TSS.
I love that it is eco friendly. A much safer option than tampons.
I love my Diva Cup and Diva Wash and cannot say enough good things about them!
The Diva Cup is one of the best investments that I have made this year. It is a medical grade silicone menstrual cup that is placed inside your vagina to collect menstrual fluids. They don't dry your body out because they collect fluids and not absorb all body fluids that they come in contact with like tampons do.
You only require one cup to use during your whole cycle. Not different ones for different times during your cycle.
It's really not nearly disgusting as it first sounds. Tampons and disposable pads are much more disgusting plus, they can cause health problems. No need to worry about pee soaked strings or strings peeking out of your swimsuit either because they don't have any! I love that I don't get anymore rashes or chaffing like I used to get with disposable pads. Something in those didn't agree with me and I don't miss that at all. I have also read that many women experience less cramping while using the Diva Cup.!
I finally ordered the diva cup after looking at various other cups and options. I wanted to save money on pads and tampons and wanted to feel a little better about the amount of waste that wasn't going into a landfill. It was definitely a learning curve in using it (though there are lots of really good instructions) but after the first few months I couldn't live without it. It holds more and better than tampons and there is no odour. It can stay in for up to 12 hours so I don't have to worry about changing it at work. Definitely by the diva wash to go with it. I didn't buy it to begin with but it was such a hastle to find an unscented soap it was just easier to buy the wash! The cup also comes with a cute little bag to store it in while not in use.
I don't know how I lived without my Diva cup before!!!! So easy to use, clean and maintain. Reduces garbage by a ton - it's amazing how much garbage we go through using pads and tampons.. If you haven't tried a diva cup yet - give it a go. It does take a bit of getting used to - but I promise it's worth it!
The first week I tried it I hated it...but I am so glad I gave it a second chance! There definitely is a learning curve with it, I don't think I was placing correctly to start. But now I won't ever go back to tampons. It is so much more convenient, cheaper and helps me prevent horrible leaking!
I've used it just one week up to now (between two babies) and wow ! I really like it. I heard someone talk about it, I was already using washable liners and I wanted something more. Now I keep recommending it to everyone. It's no trouble at all, once you get the touch. But it's not disgusting as some would think, it is easily washable. Great. Definitely a must have for all chicks !
This was a huge game changer! I ended up buying the size for 30+ as i am a few years towards 30 and didn't think i would use this until all of my tampons were used up. I couldn't wait to try tbe diva cup so i gave it a shot, and though it isn't the correct size for my age and i do feel slight discomfort sometimes, it is well worth it!
The DivaCup saved my Vagina, I used to be one of those, "Oh there's my period, might as well get some Caneston because we know that's coming next" people. Since the Diva cup I have had no issues with that, so it was tampons causing those unpleasant feelings...... No risk of TSS anymore, and no running out of 'product'! It's a wonderful product and I recommend it to everyone.
The diva cup. The thing you've heard about but haven't tried because you aren't sure if it's going to be weird or gross or that girl at work doesn't like it.
First step is to clear your mind and think about all the benefits of using it.
1. Zero waste (no tossing out pads)
2. No chances of TSS or scary chemicals being put into you body (like tampons)
3. One time buy. Always on hand and no need to send the hubby to Costco to grab a pallet of expensive pads.
I first used this before my daughter was born. I didn't like the little stem so I cut it off completely. The first few times I wore it I stayed close to home just in case. It leaked and I learnt that I hadn't inserted it correctly. I watched a few YouTube links and read a few forums and I was ready for my first day on the town.
It's awesome to not have to run to the bathroom every half hour to make sure I have sprung a leak. ESPECIALLY after my daughter was born. I bought their second model (suited for women who have given vaginally birth) and it was just as awesome.
I'm a kindergarten teacher and I can't just run out of my room when I think my tampon has run its course! This cup can hold hours/days worth of blood. I love how secure I feel over night too. Pads feel like diapers and not too fun when I am crinkle butt next to the hubby.
Buy it, try it and changed your periods for ever:)
