This was a huge game changer! I ended up buying the size for 30+ as i am a few years towards 30 and didn't think i would use this until all of my tampons were used up. I couldn't wait to try tbe diva cup so i gave it a shot, and though it isn't the correct size for my age and i do feel slight discomfort sometimes, it is well worth it!

The DivaCup saved my Vagina, I used to be one of those, "Oh there's my period, might as well get some Caneston because we know that's coming next" people. Since the Diva cup I have had no issues with that, so it was tampons causing those unpleasant feelings...... No risk of TSS anymore, and no running out of 'product'! It's a wonderful product and I recommend it to everyone.

The diva cup. The thing you've heard about but haven't tried because you aren't sure if it's going to be weird or gross or that girl at work doesn't like it.
First step is to clear your mind and think about all the benefits of using it.
    1. Zero waste (no tossing out pads)
    2. No chances of TSS or scary chemicals being put into you body (like tampons)
    3. One time buy. Always on hand and no need to send the hubby to Costco to grab a pallet of expensive pads.

I first used this before my daughter was born. I didn't like the little stem so I cut it off completely. The first few times I wore it I stayed close to home just in case. It leaked and I learnt that I hadn't inserted it correctly. I watched a few YouTube links and read a few forums and I was ready for my first day on the town.
It's awesome to not have to run to the bathroom every half hour to make sure I have sprung a leak. ESPECIALLY after my daughter was born. I bought their second model (suited for women who have given vaginally birth) and it was just as awesome.
I'm a kindergarten teacher and I can't just run out of my room when I think my tampon has run its course! This cup can hold hours/days worth of blood. I love how secure I feel over night too. Pads feel like diapers and not too fun when I am crinkle butt next to the hubby.

Buy it, try it and changed your periods for ever:)

It took me a long time to get around to trying this, primarily because I didn't want to spend $40 on something that I had no idea would work or feel comfortable. I'm definitely glad I did. Having the Diva Cup hasn't eliminated my use of other menstrual products, but it has substantially reduced how much I spend every few months.
Getting used to it and getting it positioned can be a steep learning curve. I think it took me a few months to feel like I finally got the hang of it and to stop worrying if it would leak. Clean up isn't pretty, but it's very easy. I have no problem doing it in a public stall, etc.
The one thing that sold me on it was when I went on a 8 hr rafting trip with it. There were no washrooms, and no dry sacks for personal belongings. Without something like this, I would have been in trouble, but I had zero issues even on one of my heaviest days.
I've seen other brands that have a longer 'tail' at the end or loop that might make removal a bit smoother, but it's still fairly straightforward.
My main issue with it is still the price - I had to replace mine due to user error and I was ticked that I was dropping another $40 on something that has no reason to be so pricey

I love my Diva Cup and Diva Wash and cannot say enough good things about them!

The Diva Cup is one of the best investments that I have made this year. It is a medical grade silicone menstrual cup that is placed inside your vagina to collect menstrual fluids. They don't dry your body out because they collect fluids and not absorb all body fluids that they come in contact with like tampons do.

You only require one cup to use during your whole cycle. Not different ones for different times during your cycle.

It's really not nearly disgusting as it first sounds. Tampons and disposable pads are much more disgusting plus, they can cause health problems. No need to worry about pee soaked strings or strings peeking out of your swimsuit either because they don't have any! I love that I don't get anymore rashes or chaffing like I used to get with disposable pads. Something in those didn't agree with me and I don't miss that at all. I have also read that many women experience less cramping while using the Diva Cup.

There can be a bit of a learning curve with the Diva Cup. It is can be a bit tricky at first, learning how to take it out and correctly inserting it. The cup has little holes on it that help the cup to section in place. It will leak if it's not inserted correctly. Otherwise, it shouldn't leak unless the cup is full or wrong size. It is so comfortable that you might even forget that it's there. But, don't do that since they need to be emptied at least every 12 hours. Some women may need to empty it more often. It depends on your flow and where you are in your cycle. You will learn what works for you.

You will need to experiment with finding a fold that works for you. Just google it and you will find lots of videos showing different folds. The Diva Cup website is the first place that I would look because it is a wealth of information and I have experienced nothing put excellent customer service with this company.

I wear a reusable cloth menstrual Pantiliner as a pack up to my cup. Even though I really don't need it. Many women don't wear anything at all with it. I just feel a little better knowing that I have a back up in place. lol You never know if you can get to the bathroom on time or if you didn't put it in correctly. Better to be safe then sorry.

Wash your hands before you remove the cup. It is recommended that you wash your cup each time after you remove it with a gentle soap or you can buy the Diva Wash and use it. I use the Diva Wash because that it what the wash is created for and I want to prolong the life of my cup and I want to avoid using anything harsh on my body. The Diva Wash is concentrated and lasts a long time. I also boil my cup after my cycle has ended.

You just have to remember that having your period is a normal part of life and there may be times when you might get a little blood on your fingers. Just wash your hands with soap and water :) Easy, you are going to wash your hands after you use the bathroom anyway.

I carry wet ones when I'm out in about in public. I use them to wipe off my hands before I leave the stall. Easy. I just empty my cup in the toilette then wipe my cup out with toilette paper when I'm out in public. Go home and wash it like normal.

On the Diva Cup website they recommend replacing the cup each year but, I have read that many people continue using there's for many years. You just need to take good care of it. I'm only on my 5th month and it's a little stained but otherwise it's in like new condition.

I love that the Diva Cup comes in two different sizes and the cup comes with a pretty little drawstring pouch to store it in.

I'm a Diva Cup user for life now.

Better for my body ... better for the environment ... better for my wallet

At first I was pretty sceptical on this product due to the price, and wondering how this would work out for me. Anyways, it worked out and I'm not turning back! At first it was hard getting used to it but after awhile it did benefit me as I only have to change it 2x a day! With my busy, hectic schedule this made a huge difference without having to always go into a bathroom and change out a tampon/pad all the time. Even on my heavy days I was also sceptical on how well this would hold up and I was pleasantly surprised! LOVE THIS!

The price might seem high at first, but you will NEVER EVER have to buy disposable feminine hygiene products again..so really this thing is saving you money. I am in love with this product because it has allowed me to embrace my period for the first time in like 25 years. I put it in and forget it is there, seriously, I have tested the 12 hours of wear time theory and have proved it true. I pop it in in the am, work all day, come home, have dinner then empty and no problem. What more could you want. Make beach days or camping a pleasure now that I hardly have think about my period. So in love with this thing I can hardly say it enough.

I really wanted this product to work but after three cycles and numerous leaks, I couldn't take it anymore. I watched videos, reviews, pictures, all trying to figure out why it wouldn't work for me. It was awkward in a public washroom trying to clean it and myself. Maybe practice at home to see if it works for you before you wear it out.

I really love the concept and how I'm not getting TSS though I find it almost to big for me, even when flipping it inside out.. I have the size two as I'm 29 and had a natural child birth. Though it still works better then tp I find it wants to pressurize out when I'm doing plyometrics... Will be researching for a smaller brand I really to love these and believe every woman needs.
