Fun but not for outdoors
I received this game free to test and review. When it arrived I thought an outdoor board game sounded really cool. Cool, but not at all practical. The cards blew all over even on a calm day and it’s always harder to get kids to focus on a game outside. We will stick to indoors.
Game Of Life Giant Edition
The giant Giant Of Life is a disappointment and opposite of what the call anything big boring. I was expecting maybe a mat that you are the actual games piece taking a step to move to the next space. Yes that would be too big but engaging. Instead it’s a big box with just a big spinner and 30” by 40” (estimation) plastic mat to put 5 cards down from each category ex. Pets, home, career. You spin and pick up a card, you have the chance to change the card if you’ve already picked up from the category and collect 3 from the same group to get more points. Then that’s it, that’s the game once you get one from all the categories you may say you’re done or keep playing to try and get more points. My children where not impressed and not a game we will take out much.
A Great family Game!
My Family enjoyed playing this game! HOurs of fun! The instructions are very easy to follow even my kid can play it! Thank you for sending this #free product #butterly #familyratedclub
Loved it
My kids with asd loved this modified version. It was easy to play and follow directions. You can play inside & outside I would recommend to anyone of all ages
Great for little kids too
My son, who is two, really enjoyed the fact that he got to be included in this game with the giant spinner. Anytime it was someone’s turn he was able to spin the wheel and laughed tons. This was great to bring to the cottage for the rainy days!
Fun & Classical
This Game has been a classic back in my younger days, I grew up playing this classics game with my family so I was very happy to introduce it to my daughter. At first she didn't understand until I explained how to play which is very easy & simple. It's a fun game to play & it's amazing for outdoors especially during the summer time, kinda wished the spinning wheel would last a bit longer how ever it's amazing for the entire family, 2 players or 4 players which is made easy. This is great for parties, or just spending family time together!
Great Family Game
The Game of Life, Giant Edition Family Board Game can be played indoors and outdoors. The game is a large vinyl mat, has large playing cards, and a large spinner. It’s a fun game and recommended for ages 6 and up. I like that the vinyl mat is soft, easy to wash, and the game is portable so l can bring it on trips. It does need to be played on the floor and ground because the mat is quite large. The instructions to play the game is also very easy to follow. I would recommend the Game of Life to anyone who wants to play a fun game.
Great for older kids
I didn't know what to expect with this game. It's rated 8+ because you need to calculate your points to win and there are 'action cards' to obtain points such as: making-up a song that rhymes, who can stand on one foot the longest, etc. My 9yr daughter enjoyed the regular game and my 5yr old son was ok playing without the action cards. Overall it's an interesting game but once you go through all the careers/houses etc., it might get boring.
Great Family Fun
I was so excited to receive this game. My family love the game of life and we also enjoy trying different versions of it. This game was a new adventure and we all had lots of fun playing it.
"You can be a Winner at the Game of Life" - LOL
Just as my title states that is the jingle that popped into my head when we got approved to review this game. As a kid it was one of my favorite games I think because of that cool spinner, so getting a giant version of that spinner in this game was awesome HA HA!
Starting with the packaging - even though this is a giant edition game, the game box it comes in is a standard size, so it stacks easily with our other board games. Only thing I would change is once its opened the hole cut out in the front that the spinner was nestled in (with inner cardboard now gone), makes it a big hole that things slide around in or the cards can slide out. I would have made that hole smaller or maybe a clear acete over top so we don't have to worry about that.
The game was easy to set up and my boys were able to put the cards exactly where it needed to go as it was clearly labelled on the big 32" x 32" mat. We loved the addition of the Action Cards in this game. So fun for my 3 competitive boys which they loved (and may or may not have caused some tears and screaming along the way - HAHA).
We really enjoyed this game and would definitely purchase this as a gift for another family to enjoy as well.
