Great Pantry Staple
I love this product and use it all the time. In addition to using it as a steak spice I also use it to rim my Caesar's and add a sprinkle into the drink for some extra kick! I also use it when making potatoes. Wash and cube your potatoes, drizzle olive oil and shake the seasoning on top. Put them in foil and either BBQ or bake until soft! Best and easiest potatoes recipe ever!
Love but think they changed the recipe
Love this stuff!!! Can be hard to find, I used to get it from Shoppers Drug Mart but I don’t believe thy carry it anymore :( I found it for an amazing price at #CostCo but it tastes like they have changed the formula and not quite as fantastic but still good!! I also searched online and others seemed to have noticed the difference in flavour, if they went back to the origins that would be awesome. I love sprinkling some on my homemade Chicken Caesar Salad (only made with renees gourmet dressing of course) as well as a finisher - so yum!!! I think it was around $7 for a big jug and a great value. I used it on steaks this summer cooked on a gas BBQ and my brother and sister were impressed. Definitely recommend!
Great taste
Tastes great, perfect steak spice to add on any stream for extra taste. Also it is a great price if bought from Costco! Will definitely be purchasing this product again.
Best seasoning for my cooking!
The Keg Steak Spice Seasoning My all time favorite mixed spices seasoning. This stuff is a workhorse in my kitchen. I can put it on or in every type of meat I cook. From beef, chicken, and pork. It just really enhances the flavor. I also use other spices along with it. I know most of them are already in the seasoning, but nothing wrong with a little more. I highly recommend it! I am enjoy this product every time when I cooked!
Definitely worth it !!!
Don't be fooled by the name Keg "Steak"house Seasoning......I have used this seasoning on both pork and chicken.....delicious !!! I am going to try it in meatloaf and I guarantee it will add that little kick to it, can't wait!!!
Makes an ordinary steak tasty.
I love this seasoning. I prefer most on BBQ steak as opposed to pan fried or broiled. I find that sometimes it can taste a little bit bitter. But grill it and I will enjoy it every time.
Amaaazing
I will never ever use anything else on my steak and meats.
I get the bigger container from Costco because it's cost efficient and lasts longer. I love the variety of spicing and flavouring in it.
great seasoning
I use Keg seasoning on everything from grilled chicken to beef to seasoning vegetables too. The last time I added it to bread crumb and coated chicken with it before cooking. I bought a large 1.1kg size at Costco for $10.00 and I think it's going to last me awhile.
Our favourite Caesar rimmer...yes really!
For years (no exaggeration!) we have been drinking Caesars at a bar where we love love love their rimmer. We have asked them time and time again what it is and they never seem to know.
Then on a recent leisurely walk round Costco my boyfriend spotted this and his face lit up. He said that he was sure it was this..it looked like it appearance wise and the taste suddenly made sense to him.
We had been using a different steak spice as our rimmer at home (we dont do just the normal celery salt thing!) but it was never quite right.
Purchased it and went home that night, had a caesar and boom! This is it!
It may sound weird but honestly, try it and you will never go back to any other rimmer!
We will be using this with food too, but we just haven't yet!
This is the only steak spice we use and we go through a lot of it so I buy the larger container from Costco as seen in the picture. I find most steak spice tastes the same, all highly salted and full of MSG, but not The Keg's, those with MSG intolerance's can safely use this. It tastes spicier to me, with lots of garlic, onion and pepper flavoring. I use it on steak and chicken and my favorite is to coat veggies in olive oil and add a teaspoon of this and it transforms the veggies into mouth watering deliciousness!
