I was very excited to read this book as I saw it on many a must read book lists, and had read many raving reviews for the book. That being said I was very disappointed with this novel. Without giving too much away about the plot, the story is about a set of siblings who come off entitled and self absorbed, the writing was also very long winded and used so many descriptors in each sentence that at times it didn't seem to make sense. There wasn't much of a story line and it felt like one of those books where it starts off slow but you keep reading expecting it to pick up and have a good climax somewhere in the middle, this novel you will just keep reading looking for the action and not finding any. I persevered and finished the book thinking that it would at least have a satisfying ending but there was no such luck. If you enjoy fast paced novels rich in story line with intriguing characters, this novel is probably not the one for you. My opinion differs from many, but it is just my experience with the novel.
