Disclaimer: I received this book for free as part of a Goodreads Giveaway.

Wow, what a book! I didn't think I'd enjoy it at all, but the way it was told had me flipping pages with intrigue. It was weird because for the entire time I was reading I wasn't sure if it was a paranormal book or just a psychological thriller, so when all the pieces finally converged at the end to reveal the truth the uncertainty of the genre made it all the more worthwhile.

It was hard trying to remember which girl was which throughout the novel, but I think I did a decent job of keeping the stories apart. It was tough being shown timelines from three different decades, too, but the story couldn't be what it is without them. Like I said: I didn't think I'd enjoy it; but even though I didn't really like the writing, and the dialogues could've been stronger, there was something about the narration that grabbed me from the beginning.

To go back to the way all the pieces fell into place, I think that's why this book was good. It didn't have the same enjoyment level the other books I rated four stars did, but there's something so satisfying about paying attention to the details and seeing what the author does with the hints she's been dropping us that makes it worthy of recommendation.

I don't think I'd ever go back to reading this book again - the enjoyment level, for me, is only good for one readthrough - but I think I would recommend it simply because of how perfectly everything fell into place at the end of the novel.
