I first read this back in high school for an English assignment, This book was so intense ,the battle between the old man and the Marlin,the rough seas threatening the old man's life ,a very well written book

Great read. Quite a short book. About an old man who's down on his luck, goes out to sea and has this epic battle with a Marlin while trying to reel it in. The theme is strength/courage in the face of adversity. Quite a good tale and an important message. I've read it a few times.
