Not a fan
I had high hopes for this product but I honestly don't really like it. It burns my skin when I put it on and it's gritty and I don't like the texture of it.
Grainy consistency
I don't like the formula for this suspension. It's grainy and doesn't absorb into the skin well. I would have liked a more serum like formula that absorbs into the skin instead of sitting on it. That being said, I think it did help my skin with hyperpigmentation. It makes my skin look bright the morning after. I won't be purchasing this again but I'm definitely going to try another vitamin c product from TO and see if I can find better formula
A bit gritty
I am in my early 50s and am just starting to incorporate Vitamin C into my routine, I tried this because the price was right and it has no scent. I did notice my skin was brighter after using this product for a few weeks but sometimes the grittiness of this product causes slight irritation. If you have sensitive skin may want to avoid this.
It works but I cannot stand the texture!
I was looking to add vitamin c to my routine because my skin needed a little help being a bit more even and bright. The texture is gritty but the consistency is a little greasy. I know it says it's oil-free so I'm not sure why it seems that way. It's okay for use at night but I can't use it during the day because it doesn't seem to sink into my skin. As a result, my bangs tend to soak up the product and become heavy and stringy during the day. No matter how I try to layer it, it just doesn't work for me. For reference, my skin type is combination. Usually oiler on the forehead and chin and during the winter it tends to be drier.
On the bright side, I have noticed that my skin is a little more even-toned. I'm not amazed so I probably won't buy this product once I've finished this bottle. And the search for a good vitamin c continues.
Not recommended for oily skin
In general I'm a fan of The Ordinary philosophy and I've bought some great products from them, but this one specifically made me regretful, the formula made my skin looks even more oily, not the ideal product for me.
Effective but horrible to use
This product works. I could see results after the first day! But the experience of using it is so awful, I don't think it's worth it. It's gritty, greasy, and it stings after a few uses. There are other effective and less unpleasant Vitamin C options so I've moved on. I'll use this on my hands until I've emptied the product, and won't repurchase.
I was hoping to love this product, but I can't say I do. The formula is very strange, oily and gritty. My usual routine is Vitamin C in the morning and a retinoid at night. Due to the formula, this is a night time only product. It doesn't seem to play well with my other serums and can cause piling. Overall, compared to another Vitamin C serum, the only good thing about this one is the price.
I love virtually every other product from the Ordinary line from DECIEM (along with a bunch of their other products from different brands like Fountain) but this one is really meh for me. It feels super oily in a bad way and smells terrible. With anything in this line, you're not going to get any fragrances ...as the name suggests it's just "ordinary" skincare without all the frills. Their active ingredients are amazing, though. I really wanted to like this vitamin c product but it just leaves me feeling too greasy. Go check out virtually any other product and you won't be disappointed...you can't beat the prices either. $5 for a serum, are you kidding!!? AMAZING
