Not For My Hair
Absolutely love the idea of bar shampoo and have tried many different ones. This one unfortunately went in the nope pile. Made my hair feel heavy and greasy by the next day and I would rather not wash my hair everyday. I'm sure this bar works well for others but for me it is definitely a nope.
Great Product and Reduces Carbon Footprint
I use this bar when I go swimming. It helps revitalize damage that the pool water made. Easy to use, three swipes from top to tip of wet hair and I feel the lather. It may not be visible. I found it at my local bulk food store. No packaging. I love the fact of carrying less and having no waste.
Eco friendly!
I found this bar at my local pharmacy and decided to give it a try. It was the only one left on the shelf (and only 1,99$) and I was happy to try something eco-friendly. I wasn't sure about the effectiveness of it. I tend to quickly have dirty hair so I was really hoping it would clean up nicely (or I would be stuck with dirty hair all day!). I did a little research because since it has very minimal packaging, I had no information whatsoever.
Turns out it's made by a family compagny called " The Soap Works". It's gluten and sulfate free, vegan, has no detergents and is biodegradable! This compagny usually makes soaps (duh!), but they have this combine shampoo and conditioner made with aloe vera. I remember seeing these at Bulk Barn with any packaging, so it's even better!
I tried it this morning. It was my first using it and I have medium-long hair and I think I haven't rub enough on my ends! But overall, if I get the hang of it, I will cherish this new hair washing alternative... even more if I got back camping this summer! I like how my thin hair doesn't feel weighted down by the product like regular shampoo and conditioner would do.
