My older sister had these novels and I would see her curled up on the bed or on the couch with her nose deep into the book. An avid reader I am, my teenage world was introduced to vampires and I became obsessed. I then understood my sister's reading obsession with these novels from Anne Rice. I loved all these novels. A great read. Interview with a vampire was my absolute favorite.

Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors I've read everything that she has written many times over its so easy to transport yourself into her stories and engage with all her amazing characters. Well worth checking out this fantastic and amassing author.

Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors. Her Vampire Chronicles are excellent reads, then if you are brave enough give her erotica series a go. You do not hear much about her since the Vampire TV series has become popular but, believe me her novels are so much better. They keep you on the edge of your seat all the while you are reading them, and yet they are touching and sensual at the same time. A very good prolific writer. I would recommend her books to anyone over 18 (they do tend to be more for the mature reader).

I wish she would publish a few new books, I miss her writings.

All the talk recently about Twilight has just reminded me how much I love the Anne Rice novels!!! I have read each all of them more times than i can count. Definitely recommend them to anyone!!! Queen of The Damned is a WAY better book than movie(even tho i greatly enjoyed the movie), the movie doesnt even cover what most of the book is about. AWESOME READ!!

I know a lot of people are rolling their eyes at the constant trend of vampire genre novels. But Anne Rice was one of the first authors to bring it to the foreground back in the day and did it so well. I read her series back when i was a young teenager and became instantly addicted to them. They are so much more than just about vampires and contain lots of religious, art and political history in different eras. Along with the entanglement of relationships that one has when they have lived for centuries. As well as lots of action, violence and a little sex. So if you're looking for a vamp series that is much more adult and complex than some of them out there. You need to pick up her series the next time you're in a book store.
