I use to be a huge Anne Rice fan when I was a teenage but then stopped reading her books when she became a born again Christian and started to only write about Jesus etc. (No judgment to anyone who believes, likes it. It's just not for me) And I was disappointed to hear her criticize her older Gothic novels about witches and vampire I use to love.

But apparently she's changed her mind and come back to write to the genre and I was pleasantly surprised by her writing a very gory, dark story about werewolves. There is tons of action she writes about and lots of history, religion that she is so good at writing about. She's taken a new twist on the common werewolf story about making it a tiny bit superhero'ish and lots of deep family history, murder mystery.

An absolute must if you've loved her work in the past!
