Nice layout, but not the quality I’m used to!

I bought this when theBalm was having 50% off their website. In Ontario Canada, you can only find theBalm at Rexall, from what I can tell, so it pushes this brand into prestige level because it's expensive! I really wanted to adore this, but I just found that the pigment pay off is not what I’m used to for theBalm! Some of these shadows are great, but others, I really have to dig my brush in to get the pigment! Total contrast to the Nude Dude (my fave) palette! Maybe because these are foil shadows? I know you're supposed to layer foil pigments on top of your regular shadows, and should apply with a wet brush, but even still, I wasn't super impressed! Not sure, but I wasn't really thrilled with the pigment payoff, and it's totally not what I'm used to from theBalm! So if you bought this and you're not thrilled, don't let it impact your opinion of the brand, because the brand is incredible!
