Danae Ayusso is an amazing writer. This is the first time I have had the privilege of reading something that she has written, and I can honestly say that it will NOT be the last time, I am hooked and look forward to reading many more of her publications.

This novel starts off giving us a brief introduction to the heroine, cat, letting us briefly know who she is and where she comes from, a cop from the streets of New York, then fast forward to a year later and it begins to introduce us to the hero of the story. He has been locked away in his cabin for 5 years not uttering a word, but then new crimes that show that a serial killer from Fury’s past is back, makes him come down from his cabin to avenge his fiance who was one of “Pope’s” victims.

Throwing Cat and Fury, an unlikely pair, together was genius. Their characters compliment each other, and make the story line very interesting. The chemistry is there right from their first meeting and I could not wait to see what happened next.

If you like a good crime novel packed with surprises, suspense, and romance with plot twists at every turn, I recommend this book!!
