90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I received Thierry Mugler Womanity from Chick Advisor a couple of weeks ago-I was able to attend the party for Womanity where everyone received a goodie bag with the perfume as well as mini samples to give to friends! Upon first application I wasn't too fond of the scent. After 30 minutes the scent changed into something I would describe as sexy! I have received compliments while wearing the perfume, which is always nice to hear. The scent is by no means overpowering and lasts the whole day through (there is no need for a second application). At a retail price of $66.00 you can't go wrong PLUS the bottle is refillable-very smart! I've never had a refillable perfume bottle before but definitely think other companies should head down this route.
I could barely contain my excitement when I was getting ready to open up the pristine box that encased my Womanity!
I absolutely love the exotic packaging. The lid design was very different than conventional perfume bottles. What makes it even better, its that it's refillable, AND the box is made from recycled paper. Way to be eco-friendly!
The scent itself is very complex with all sorts of notes. When you first spray it, there are high notes of fruitiness that keep you alert. As the day goes by, the scent descents into a more musky flavor, which is just...well...saucy!
Overall, it's a great perfume if you prefer muskier perfumes, but a great crossing over for those who like more floral and fruity, like me.
I love this! As a younger women i get sooo tired of all the heavy clingy scents made for older women, but i found womanity to be very fresh and young!
I was one of the lucky ladies chosen to attend the Womanity perfume party - thanks ChickAdvisor! IT was a great time and met some wonderful people and made a new friend!
Attending the party was perfect for me because I love trying new perfumes. I am definitely not brand loyal when it comes to perfurme and often have 4 or 5 bottles on the go (not to mention body sprays too!).
I was skeptical when we were told it was a sweet and salty scent. But, it actually was!
The scnet is very complex, and like a fine wine, has many layers. Right off the bat, on me I smelled a woodsy scent - I now know that to be fig tree. It developed into something that was salty - I still can't identify it as caviar, but it did remind me of the ocean in a way. The last scent, the one that lingesr, is a little sweet, mixed with the initial woodsy scent.
I love it! It is strong without being overpowering, and a great perfume to add to my rotation.
I also want to say that I very much appreciate Thierry Mugler's attention to detail - right down to decorating the inside of the box. And Kudos to Mugler for making this an eco-chic perfume that allows us to refill our bottle saving us money and the environment.
I'll be honest, when I first smelled this perfume I wasn't into it. I usually go for light and fruity smells (I realize I repeat this in many of my reviews!) so I think I was initially taken aback a bit by the distinct scent.
But when I attended ChickAdvisor's Womanity party I walked into the room and the first thing I thought was "wow this place smells great!" We learned that it's a blend of salty and savoury scents and one of the main components is fig! I found it really interesting to learn that when Thierry Mugler created this perfume, he asked for sweet and savoury scents, but NONE of the scents from their classic "Angel" fragrance could be repeated. I love that this is something entirely new and different!
Womanity is perfect for women who get noticed when they walk into a room because it's so unique.
And I must note that while I'm really not a huge fan of pink, there's just something about pink perfume bottles that I can't resist -- love this bottle! The fact that it is refillable is also a huge plus (not to mention incentive to go out and buy a refill for many people)
As I was attending the Chick Advisor party for this perfume (great party by the way!!!!!) my first thought when they started talking about the notes in this perfume had me a bit perplexed. This perfume has notes of fig and caviar. Yup... you read that right - caviar. Weird, no? That's what I thought. Weirder still when they told us that the caviar was to capture the essence of the 'salty' smell. I certainly didn't want to smell 'salty' but decided that I would give the perfume a try anyway. Boy am I glad that I did! It smells surprisingly pleasant. I quite like the scent actually, and it makes me think nothing of smelling 'salty'! The perfume had great lasting power, and I would say that it definitely would last me throughout the day. I like that the scent wasn't overwhelming, but if I walked by someone, they would just get a hint of a whiff. Just enough to get them interested ;) The bottle was very unique, and like the rest of Thierry Mugler's fragrances, it has the ability to be refilled. Always a bonus in my eyes! While I tend to have a few loyal perfume favourites, this is one that I will definitely add to my rotating perfumes. Loved it and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. The only down side though, was that the spray comes out of the bottle with much more liquid and force than I would have liked (I prefer a light misting). Other than that, everything else about this perfume was great! Thanks ChickAdvisor for giving me the chance to smell and try out this new perfume!
I love perfume. I am a total fragrance junkie. There is something very magical and romantic about the process of choosing and combining different notes to make one finished scent. I am, however, quite particular with what I like and don’t like, when it comes to fragrances. So I was not sure what to expect when I was given a sample of Thierry Mugler’s Womanity at the Chickadvisor testing party (which was amazing by the way, thanks to everyone who organized that event!)
We were given a brief intro to what Mugler was attempting to capture with his scent, part of which was to represent the many sides of womanity- everything from the salty to the sweet. To hit the sweet notes fig and fig wood was used. To hit the salty notes caviar (that’s right, caviar) was used. It seems like an odd mix but once I tested the fragrance I fell in love. I found that when I smelled the fragrance on its own, it came off more sweet than salty but once it hit my skin, it mixed to create a beautiful saltiness, almost spiciness, which I found very empowering. The fragrance lasted a long time but I found that the saltiness began to wear off to reveal more of the sweet undertones. I didn’t mind this but I loved the spice of it so much that I re-applied anyways to keep those notes fresh.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, although I don’t think that it will fit everyone’s taste. I loveee it!
I also really like the bottle. I know many people dont really think about the bottle but Its part of the process for me. The bottle is very much like a statue. and I love the silver face and chain details. Its looks quite gorgeous sitting on my bedroom shelf.
I got to try this perfume at the Chick Advisor party. With the first spray I wasn't too sure if I was going to like it, it is quite strong when you first put it on. But after a little while it becomes more subtle and smells very nice. The next day I was out with a friend and as we were walking I asked her if she could smell something nice and then i realised it was the perfume!! I read another review and she had mentioned that it doesn't seem to last the whole day and I would have to agree with her. I don't reapply my perfume during the day and would prefer it if I didn't have to. Having said that it is a really nice perfume with a great smell and I will continue to wear it.
Also I think it is a very good idea that you can get your bottle refilled, wish more companies would do the same.
Fig and Caviar? My first reaction to the notes in this fragrance was confusion and worry. I tried Womanity at the exclusive perfume party held by Chickadvisor and let me say, you need to be open-minded to be able to accept the uniqueness of its scent.
It's very strong scent is apparent with a 1st, 2nd and many whiffs later. I was initially turned off by the salty notes, however, as minutes went by... I was intrigued. You get lured in by its mystery. The notes seem to ever change with your senses. It turns out that Womanity is a sweet and spicy scent that one can get accustomed to. Like I mentioned to the rep on-site, the perfume takes you on a journey from tanning on the beach, to splashing around in an ocean at night to frolicking in the forest looking for mischief... lol, I know funny, but it does take you into different settings you'd love to be in!
The bottle is edgy yet still conveys femininity. The bottle does spray a great amount, so best best is to dab or just press lightly.
P.S. I re-applied the fragrance on the TTC with a fellow chickie, and people were asking what this scent was? I even sampled Womanity on a couple of women who LOVED it!!! So yes, ppl will be curious to know what you're wearing...!
