It works sometimes and yes, you have to use a lot of it to get rid of one tiny stain. However, it HAS saved me a few times so I would recommend getting one just in case.

This is a great product. It gets stains out fast and it dries really quickly. It's great for when you're out and you get something on yourself. The only problem is if you keep your tide stick for longer than 6 months it starts to smell a bit like puke when you use it which isn't pleasant so you need to replace it in that time frame.

To be honest I was a tad sketchy about a product like this. I figured it would be some kind of primer; like it would remove some of the stain so it could come out easier when you actually wash it. I was wrong. This little stick is a miracle! I somehow manage to get stains on my clothing very easily, so this little guy comes in hand often. Just do as the instructions tell you to and you're gold. I really like this product, and need to start carrying one in my purse at all times.
