I guess it does okay at spreading out the stain on cotton and other natural fibers. But I always end up with a big halo ghost of the former stain so I still have to cover up the spot with a cardigan or something.
This works great on all organic stains (fruit juice), on all cotton or inorganic fibres (just not silk). If you can keep the cap on and the pen from drying out.
I use to keep one in my purse, but the cap keep falling off, and the pen would dry up, so I stopped trying to do that. It also smells pretty bad.
It's just easier to put stain remover on clothes before I am about to put them through the washing machine.
Doesn't work, I tried it on numerous and different kind of stains. Just doesn't have the power to really help stains on the go.
I would give this product an average rating. I think it is a worthwhile buy for work purposes as it works well on work shirts (my husband finds its especially useful). Yet, for certain fabrics (i.e. wool etc.) it is not that effective in my experience.
When I purchased this product, I was so excited. My kids tend to spill things while on the go and I was ready to have this handy in such a scenario. Unfortunately, it did not perform well at all. I immedately treated my daughters shirt using the directions on the package (verbatim) and then soaked and washed it. I could still see the juice. I know that this wouldn't be magic, but i could have done that with a simple dabble of regular wash detergent.
I was lucky to get one for 49 cents... for my daughter science fair project regarding coffee, grass and mustard stains which was better salt or tide to go .. and guess who won ........ The Salt.. tide worked well on coffee but the grass and mustard stain it just made worst... thought i would share
I keep one on hand in case of an emergency, but It can't be used on whites, and it's so expensive, you only get a couple uses per stick
I have used it in the past and overall i was happy with the result it provide me on several of my items.
I find that its good for once in a while use but if used often it would be expensive to buy. The tube is small and expensive for the amount you get but, overall still good and those the job.
My sister highly recommeded Tide to Go Pen, so I got one, too. I've used it several times and keep it in my purse at all times! It's so convenient to have if I'm out and get something spilled or dropped! Helps me to enjoy the time instead of hurrying to get home to do some laundry quick!
