Tim Horton's English Breakfast speciality tea: This review is specifically for hot tea prepared one cup at a time by a Tim Horton's staff member pouring boiling water over a tea bag, then adding milk, cream, sugar or sweetner to the guest's specifications in the restaurant for immediate consumption. Different brands of English Breakfast flavour black tea are variously bolder or weaker than the standard, Orange Pekoe; The Tim Horton's label English Breakfast tea is similar in strength to their Orange Pekoe flavour, but slightly less rich. It is a good choice to pair with rich foods, such as the Tim Horton's Ham and Cheddar sandwich. The quality of the tea is on the high side of average, not quite as fine, or delicately flavoured as Starbucks', comparable in both quality and flavour to the Tetley's make-at-home brand available in graocery stores. The price of a single Tim Horton's cup of tea is on the cheap side of average, however the markup on hot tea to go from any restaurant, compared to the cost of buying tea bags by the box and preparing them at home is outrageous! N.B. Judging by the taste, Tim Horton's standards are 2% milk and refined white sugar.
