Timbit-too!
These are the perfect snack for the days when you are looking for a sweet treat for a little one that has been good all day. I remember the days when it was only a Twoonie to get a 20pack. Wish they had a way to standardize the flavours you get in a box. For example a mix for chocolate lovers versus glazed lovers.
Delicious but not nutritious
I love timbits. They are classic snack. But many times they are super dry and wayyy to sweet. They are also priced a little more then they may be worth.
Not always the same
I've had a lot of situations where the Timbits I have bought have excess amount of sugar coating or none at all when they should I find the inconsistency takes away from its value. You should be able to go to each Tim Hortons and expect the same product.
Depends
I live in a place with no Tim Hortons so when I pass one I always have to stop and grab a box of these! Honey dip is the best and I could literally eat a 20 pack to myself. Oops.
I love Tim Bits. Sometimes I think they are more addictive than the bigger donuts. I find them very fresh and the flavours are all so good. I like the glazed. Now I'm hungry.
I used to love tim bits. When you ordered, you got a box of assorted flavors. Now my local tim hortons (for the last two years) when you order tim bits gives you a big box of glazed/originals. None of my favorite jelly filled, no birthday cake..no variety. Disappointing decline of what used to be a great snack.
As a Canadian, these are a staple even if you don't eat donuts much like me. If I have a sweet tooth and they're around, I would just eat the chocolate. They came out with the new salted caramel and it's uber sweet and just tastes like super butterscotch on roids to me haha. But hey everyone should try them, they're an easy pick me up for any party.
The great thing about Timbits is that you get a few flavours in the box and not have to make a choice about which donut you want. The bad is that it's really easy to overeat. As a person who feels like i 'shouldn't' eat an entire donut, I will eat 5 or 6 timbits without thought - which works out to about 2 donuts so tehre goes that.
My bit qualm is that they now sell them past their sell by date and you often get stale ones.
I'm on the line with timbits - I hate donuts in general, but in the little bite size form they are much more tolerable. The little apple fritter ones are quite good. I like that they are inexpensive, and it's easy to grab the little box for on-the-go snacks.
These are always a crowd favourite at potlucks.
