Not for me

I received a free sample of TOM FORD Black Orchid Parfum Spray and I wasn’t a big fan. The fragrance was just not for me and very strong. When I wear perfume I want “smell attractive” and I didn’t get that feeling. This is just my opinion. Others seem to love it!

Strong scent but I love it

I received a sample of Tom Ford Black Orchid in the mail. It is a 0.5FL. OZ/1.5ml perfume spray that goes a long way, since it is a very strong scent and you don't need to use a lot of it. Despite being heavy and rich, I really liked this perfume. People who like lighter scents would not necessarily be a fan of it, but if you like stronger scents chances are you'd like the Black Orchid. I would wear it for events and for a night out.

Not for everyone

I received a sample from sopost recently. The packaging is beautiful but the scent is not for everyone. It's a complex scent and one of the few that I really notice the layers. At first it's very overpowering, I felt a little nausea and a bit of headache coming on when I applied it. My sister law felt the saw way at first but a few minutes in she loved it, while I continued to hate it. I think Tom ford scents aren't just for me because I own another of their purfumes which I hate most of the time.l love it hours later when I can only smell the base notes.

TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID PERFUME
Tom Ford Black Orchid is very light and good for daytime. It is not too overpowering. However, I felt it might not last too long. The fresh and floral nature of the fragrance makes it ideal to wear during travelling.

My sister got this product in her trial box but hated the scent so I tried it on my hand and as the day went on I couldn't stop sniffing my hand and how great it develops definitely worth it in my books

Not for me

I thought that this perfume would be amazing buy it smells horrible and very expensive I will not be purchasing it ever again smells like cheap washing powder

All time favourite

Usually I don't like strong scented perfumes but a few years ago my partner bought this and since then this is my favourite one. The only down side is that a bit pricey but I can still on me all day long.

Ultimate Luxury

My daughter bought me this as a special birthday present and I adore it. Even treated myself to the touch point perfume for travelling. Saving for next bottle already. Love the smell and get so many compliments on it.

Tom Ford Black Orchid EDP

I don’t do any preliminary research on notes contained in a fragrance I intend on reviewing so as not to impregnate my brain with any impression that might influence my interpretation of the fragrance. I will admit though seeing the visuals for this fragrance, I know violet makes an appearance in this composition. I also admit I have prior knowledge of this fragrance’s transition from being marketed to women to now being a genderless fragrance but this has no influence on my review. In my days of working at Sephora, I was never fond of this scent but when I saw it on sale for $99.99 CAD at Winners, I knew this was the closest I would get to owning Tom Ford anything and bought it. Since, Black Orchid has moved into regular rotation in my fragrance wardrobe.

how can i describe it? this is something a strong 30 year old siren would wear. she takes no BS. a bit on the pricey side, but worth the splurge! i tried some samples from sephora first and then bought the blakc orchid as well as the velvet orchid.
