SO MANY FLAKES

I had high hopes for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, because who doesn't after hearing that clever name? I tried it out because it came in a Too Faced Limited Edition Makeup Kit I bought at Sephora, but I was disappointed with the results. My eyes were in pain from all the flakes coming off into them, I was constantly looking in my pocket mirror trying to fish out the black flakes from my eye, then causing more to flake off. Finally I had to stop wearing the mascara and actually went a week without wearing any until I bought a new one (different brand). Too bad this Too Faced Mascara isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great mascara. It makes your lashes look great, but I wouldn't recommend it because I've purchased mascaras by L'oreal and Maybelline that have given me the same effect. I just don't think it's worth $30. Also, my tube dried out after only 3 weeks! Not impressed

This mascara is great at separating and lengthening lashes thus give you the effect of having false lashes. My issues are with formulation mainly. I have sensitive eyes and react to Too Faced eye products. Second this formula gives me raccoon eyes after an hour or so. I would say this mascara is average. I know everyone loves it and I decided to go buy one for myself and it clumps quiet a bit. I even decided to ask a make up artist if i was wearing it right. I love too faced but this one wasn't for me.

At first I fell in love with this mascara. The mascara initially gives lashes length and volume without clumping and made my friends envious. Very quickly (after about 3 weeks) the mascara had drastically dried out and i had problems with flaking throughout the day starting from an hour after application. I tried again buying a larger size since it was the travel size I tried before and could have been due to less product in the bottle. This was not the case as the drying out of the product happened in the same period of time and excessive flaking occured. Not worth the money if you ask me. May try the waterproof to see if it is better because I have not found the initial look of this mascara from any other :(

When I first bought this mascara I was convinced that this was going to be the best mascara. I enjoyed the look this mascara gave, it made my lashes look so full when normally my lashes are light and short. Then the end of the day came and noticed that under my eyes was smudged black from my mascara. I didn't think much hoping it was just a one time thing. It ended up happening all the time. Although, I loved the way it made my lashes look, no setting spray or primer could keep this mascara from smudging under my eyes.

For the price you are paying for this mascara I would have to say skip it. There are far better formulas out there for 1/3rd the price. The biggest issue I have with this is flaking. I wear more than one coat and re-curl my lashes during the day and there is major major flaking with this mascara. Plus it doesn't do anything 'special' in terms of adding volume or length or curl...

I know this is considered a cult favorite but of the higher end mascaras this is on the very low end of the spectrum!

I found this mascara to be WAY to expensive for what it did. You are basically paying for the metal engraved tube it comes in. There are other mascaras that aren't nearly as expensive and make your lashes look longer than this stuff, younique 3d would most liekly work better and is cheaper

There has been so much hype about this mascara so I purchased a deluxe sample size of it. The brush is amazing! The bristles are dense and the ends of the brush are thicker so it reaches the smaller lashes easily. Really separates and extends the lashes. However, it smudges too easily on me. I only get a couple of hours of wear before it's smudged all over my upper lid and under my eye. For that reason, I probably won't re-buy but perhaps keep the brush?
