I have dark brown hair, I usually spray tthe top of my head where i get the most oily. i ONLY use this for emergency situations when i dont realize how greast my hair really is and i need to get out of the house. Not crazy about the smell. When you spray it does turn my hair white. i wait a few minutes like the instructions says then i brush it out. Initially i thought brushing it out would make me more greasy but it didnt. This does the trick, it gets rid of the grease but i hate the way it makes my hair feel.
Like i said, good for a quick fix, but obviously dont rely on it as i hate the way it makes my hair feel! only reason why i still use it is because its the only dry shampoo i found! any recommendations? send them my way!
xo
I decided to try Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo because I was going camping and I get very oily roots and wanted something to prevent my head from becoming an oil slick! I must say that I do LOVE the scent of this product, it has a light, fresh scent. It does deliver on it's promise and I came out looking a lot better than I did before I applied the dry shampoo to my scalp. I think that the only thing I didn't really like was that it seemed to wet my hair a bit when I first applied it, which to me was strange and unexpected since it is a dry shampoo. I do recommend this product though, it did it's job and at $5 for a 5.7 oz bottle it is relatively inexpensive.
This is a great "toss it in your carry-on, or camping bag" product for when you are travelling and can't guarantee daily showers. It was a life saver for me this summer when I stayed at a cottage with no showers!
You can't treat this product like a shower replacement however, it's not THAT incredible. But giving your hair a quick all over spray in the morning with this stuff will leave you feeling fresh and a little more 'put together' for your day.
I put "You Betcha!" because I'm sure other girls will like this product a lot of more than I did.
Now saying that, I didn't hate this product, it isn't horrible.
This is the first dry shampoo I have bought and it does seem to work, to a certain point.
I would spray it on and my hair looks non-greasy and clean but I found that throughout the day my bangs would just get greasy again (in the afternoon).
I use this when I really cannot take a shower but I almost always put my bangs back when I use it.
If I can manage to take a shower or I can even just wash my hair, I prefer to do that than to use this.
Once this runs out I will more than likely try out a different dry shampoo.
I am also trying to minimize my hair washing. so I decided to give this dry shampoo a try. I don't get it.... I do not like dry shampoos. I feel like my hair is still dirty.... it does not look so greasy, but instead it looks powdery. I tried brushing it, but it's very hard to dissipate that powder in my dark coloured hair. :(
All in all, I barely use it. I love the feel of fresh clean hair, and I do not find that this shampoo helps with the feel or the look of my hair on days that I don't wash. I can do without it.
I have always wanted to try dry shampoo as my hairdresser has always said its not the greatest to wash your hair daily. So when I saw the Tresemme Dry Shampoo, I picked it up in a heartbeat to try. The product does what it says it does, but did leave a white film on my hair. You just have to make sure that you really brush it out afterwards. My hair smelled great and felt clean.
I bought this on the high recommendations I've read here. This is the first time I've used a dry shampoo so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have naturally curly hair and blow dry it straight, so if I can get another day or so without having to do the whole process, it's great. The product definitely has an overpowering smell when you first spray it on - definitely something you shouldn't do in a small bathroom. once it settles in, it does a good job of soaking up the oils and leaving a lighter scent. I have dark hair so it does leave the white coating on the roots, so i use a damp cloth on the front of my hair to get out the residue, the rest brushes out. while it definitely does not replace the full shampoo/blow dry routine, it does stretch it out by a day or so. So while not life-changing, it is definitely a product to have around for those days where you really don't have the time. And compared to other brands, the price is awesome.
I have oily hair, which means that if I dont shower everyday, my hair gets stringy and...well...oily.
I got tired of having to shower every single morning, or having to put my hair into a self conscious ponytail, but then I saw this product in a commercial and remembered it while I was in Shoppers Drug Mart, so I decided to give it a try.
This product is used exactly like hairspray, just shake, and spray on your roots from a distance. Let it sit for a minute, and then comb through.
Of course this product doesnt give the just-stepped-out-of-the-shower look, but it does do a fairly decent job of making your hair look fresh and ready to go.
The smell is citrus-ey, and it can be a little strong out of the bottle, but once it settles, it has a very nice and light smell.
Overall,
I would buy this product again, but it hasnt made a huge impact in my life. It saves a large amount of time, so no more early morning rush to get ready on time ! :)
I definitely recommend it !
A couple of days ago I saw a commercial for the new TRESemme Fresh Start line of waterless hair care products and was so intrigued I had to go out and purchase it right away. With these products you can forgo washing your hair every single day and still have beautiful, fresh smelling hair full of body and bounce. This is such an incredible claim, I had to try it for myself. I was very pleasantly surprised. It worked really well and it did just as it promised - all the oil seemed to disappear and my hair did look and feel pretty clean again. It's almost like magic! It has a really nice citrus scent and it's very easy to use. Just spray it in, wait a minute or two and brush it out. Finally, there's a solution for those frantic mornings when you've overslept and you're going to be late for work - just spray and go! It would also be a great alternative for harried moms who have a hard time even getting 10 minutes in for a quick shower. The possibilities are endless with this product. I got a $2 off coupon at www.freshstartcoupon.com. (for Canadian consumers). I would say for me, it's definitely one of those " must-have" products that every woman should have on hand. For the time it saves you, it's worth every penny.
If you're looking for an affordable dry shampoo, Tresemmé has come out with an both an aerosol and foam product which are supposed to help refresh your hair, without the need for washing. The aerosol is for oily/normal to straight hair and the foam is for dry/wavy to curly hair. I recently bought and tried the aerosol. The can is of a pretty good size and it will probably last me a while before I repurchase.
I used the dry shampoo after the second day I washed my hair. It was looking limp and a little oily at the roots. After spraying this product, My hair doubled in volume and I noticed that it did not leave a white, powdery residue. It's scent is very fresh, like most of the Tresemmé products. It also got rid of the oily look and made my hair look so much better! To get the best results, shake vigorously and spray in short bursts over the oily areas. Do not spray like a hair spray all over your head. Keep shaking the can after every spray. I let it sit in my hair for about a minute and then brush through it and shake my hair up with my fingers.
I definitely recommend this product! It's cheap ($3.99 CAD) and will probably go on sale often and it delivers good results.
