I've been battling with split ends my whole life. My natural hair is dry and frizzy and no matter how many trims I get I will always have some split ends. Now, this serum doesn't necessarily help avoid split ends completely (I'm saying AVOID and not repair. You can't repair split ends and the only solution is to cut them off) but I love it as my regular leave in conditioner and I do feel like my end are less dry. I put 2 pumps in after I just washed and dried my hair, and about 1/2 to 1 pump when I'm done drying and styling my hair. It really adds some moisture and shine to my hair that I didn't have before. The smell isn't great and I feel like it could be a bit more nourishing, but great for the price. The packaging is also nice and has a pump which is very convenient.
It cleans my hair well, and it's affordable so it's worth giving a shot. I wish the clean feeling would last longer, so I can have longer time in between washes, like a week. People have also commented that my hair looks full and shiny.
I've been using this product for about a year now and I love it! Not only does it work well it smells great!
After having gone without a trim for some time, I found my hair becoming more prone to split-ends to the point where the ends became noticeably frizzy. I decided to try this out after my friend recommended it to me. It was inexpensive and you get a good amount of product (177mL). Since it comes in a pump bottle, it's easy to dispense the desired amount and allows for mess-free application.
It claims to reduce split ends by 80% after just 3 uses. I had to use it for longer (about 2 weeks) to see a noticeable difference. The ends of my hair became smoother and I did see less split-ends, although it doesn't eliminate them completely.
The consistency of the product is thin so it was easy to distribute through the hair and it smells good. However, the product starts to clump and you're left with traces of white residue on your hair regardless if it's used on damp or dry hair. Apply this when your hair is damp so you don't get as much residue. Once your hair is dry then you can just comb out the remaining clumps.
This will not completely eliminate split-ends. The only way to do that is to get regular trims. I'm still on the fence whether I will buy this again or not. I've been using just coconut oil to condition my hair and it's working for me. This product is still worth a try if you're looking to control your split-ends.
