This was great! I made it on the weekend for brunch, but my boyfriend wouldn't touch it! He's not a fan of sausages, so I thought "more for me"! He only ate the potato pancakes (which are seriously delicious), but I loved the flavor combination of the other ingredients mixed with the potato pancakes!
Loved how easy it was to make this recipe! I served it to my family and visually they thought how different and said it looked "YUMMY" and they ate them up so fast and asked for more! My kids are very picky and I was worried that they wouldn't like it but turns out they keep asking me to make this for them even for dinner lol!~ thanks for the recipe this one is def a keeper!
They are so easy to make and I think they could very easily be a kids favorite. Put some bowls with toppings around and give the kids some McCain Potato Pancakes and let them add their own toppings for a fun lunch idea that everyone can get behind!!
I was very surprised on how fast this recipe was to put together. I was not sure how the family would like it but it became a big hit within my house! Very fresh tasting and cook up very nicely
I absolutely loved this recipe.
I knew in advance that I was going to make it so when I made our previous meal I intentionally had left overs to use for this recipe which cut my prep time in half. I agree that you can probably use any fruit for this recipe, however, if I was to switch the fruit I would ensure its a fruit with less natural sugar that's taste is more on the tart side. I find the maple syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness to this meal.
Its so delicious I've already sent out the recipe to family and friends to say how fantastic it takes and where they can get the ingredients at a great price!
I did not make these quite like the recipe called for, but these Turkey Sausage And McCain Potato Pancakes are so easy to customize you can virtually add anything to them to make a cute and easy snack for breakfast, as a lunch option, or even as a finger food while watching a movie or a football or hockey game.

Add lean protein to your diet with the turkey sausage and #McCain potato pancakes recipe. This is not as easy to make as previous tested dishes and does take about half an hour to cook so perhaps start a bit sooner than you may have before. You can substitute the turkey sausage for a different meat or vegan option if turkey is not a meat you enjoy. Also the recipe calls for a side dish of strawberries and my diet frowns on the seeds so feel free to also substitute the fruit. I found it is the sweet jam taste that makes the meal taste nicer so it will not change the flavour if using a different fruit. This dish was not enjoyed as much by my children but both myself and my husband quite liked it so I would recccomend this recipe more so for adults but your children may be less picky than mine. Probably will make again when kids are gone!
