This USB hub is just what I needed!

My laptop is 5 or 6 years old, and only has 3 USB ports. With technology changing quite a bit since I brought home my Sony Vaio. My mouse, laptop fan, and charger all take up ports. If I add an extra device, I have to unplug one due to only 3 ports.

With this Hub, it plugs right into my Laptop or Desktop computers, allowing for me to plug and charge more devices on my computer without having to remove one. We do not have Apple computers – but a Sony Vaio and two custom built no-name desktop computers.

The USB plug from the charger is quite short (3-4”), but for my laptop that is perfect. For my desktop, it just means it sits on top and my cords dangle down. The cord is also quite thick – a sign of quality!

Although the description states this is Aluminium, it feels more like hard plastic. It is quite lightweight and allows for 3 USB plugs, an SD card slot, and a TF card slot.

It has a nice Tardis blue LED light to let you know that it is working.

It was compatible with my iPhone immediately, and I have not had any errors since using it.

It still allows for a quick recharge of my iPhone and pictures seem to upload much quicker on my laptop than they have in the past.

I did test out the SD slot and was able to VERY quickly transfer photos from my old digital camera onto my computer!

Overall, I am quite pleased with this little hub, and would recommend it to anyone who is running out of USB plugs for their laptop or computer!

This USB hub is clearly designed with Macbooks and Apple products in mind. It's extremely slim with an aluminium design that is very reminiscent of Macbooks and Apple computers, although it does work with PCs as well. It's very simple to use, doesn't require any drivers, you just plug it in and you're good to go.

The one downside I found with this device was the length of the USB cable. Is you're plugging this into a laptop or computer, the cable isn't even long enough to reach around to the other side, which forces you to keep the device on whichever side you plugged it in. This isn't a huge problem, but it is a glaring flaw for a device which is otherwise perfectly good at what it does.

This hub supports 3 UBS ports as well as a port for SD cards and TF cards. The USB ports are 3.0, and apparently are meant to transfer data faster than traditional USB ports or the 2.0 variety. This might be the case, but I didn't really notice a huge difference. Keep in mind that the port you plug this into should be 3.0 as well if you want to get the benefits, as plugging it into a standard or 2.0 USB port will bleed out the extra benefits of the 3.0 ports.
