The Canadiantire type A Over-the-Door Multipurpose Organic Waste Bin carries up to 7L of items – trash, kitchen waste, or stored items. The bin can easily be mounted on a door or a wall with the product’s strong plastic bracket that will leave no scratches to the user’s furniture. It has an easy to carry handle. The lid slides open or flips up. It has multiple different mounting hardware and brackets, allowing it to be hung in different locations. It was very easy to install and use in multiple ways. At first it took me a bit to get a hang of the different lid use options but they make it very convient to use. I love the slide option. I also love how it is easy to remove and carry organics to the compost.

Handy and great for small spaces

I received the Type A Over-the-Door Multipurpose Organic Waste Bin, 7-L for free from Butterly to review.

I have been looking for a simple and clean garbage that fits well into my small kitchen, and I think I found it. This garbage been is the perfect size and easily fits over my cupboard door. I live in a rental so I didn't want to drill anything to secure the garbage can. Thankfully, it comes with a hook that fits comfortably over the door, but still allows the door to close properly.

My only small complaint is that I wish the hook was a little wider to balance the garbage can a little bit better. Outide of that, I would recommend this product and it's perfect for small kitchens and rentals.

Versatility in a trash bin

The type A Over-the-Door Multipurpose Organic Waste Bin, 7-L is a versatile bin that can be used for a variety of purposes and moved between different locations in your home or garage. The bin can be attached to a wall or cupboard using the included adhesive or screws, but can also be used as an over-the-door bin. Transferring it from the fixed hardware to hang on any cupboard door can be done with ease, making it easy to move around. It has a lid that can be opened in two different directions. The lid can be tipped up against the door/wall it is mounted on or it can be slid forward and down the front of the bin where the handle hangs. Either way, the lid stays out of the way when you need the bin to be open and accessible, as long as you aren't trying to close the door with the lid in the open position. The bin lifts off the mounting hardware for emptying and cleaning. There is a convenient handle for transporting it here and there and the detachable lid makes washing both the bin and the lid a breeze. I do wish that the lid would attach more securely to the bin, but that would likely impact its ability to open against the wall/cupboard. The lid closes with a bang, but you can add foam along the rim if you're worried about that. Overall, this bin is convenient, versatile and easy to clean, so it's an option worth considering for any area of your home or garage.

Great product exactly as pictured

I was very excited to be gifted this product by Butterly in exchange for an honest review. I was in need of a compost bucket and this one is exactly as pictured. It is on the larger side which is convenient as I live in a condo and means it doesn’t have to be emptied as often - but it is still small enough that you will have to turn it over relatively often which is good for compostable items that tend to smell. It is easy to install and is very handy to have hanging on the door. Overall this was a great addition to my kitchen and is a quality piece that is worth the price charged for it.

Great designed product

I like the sleek design of the compost bin. It is slightly larger than your regular compost bin, at 7L, however this also means I do not need to empty it as frequently as the smaller begins! I like that it can be adhered to the cabinet door without using screws (although screws are provided if needed). It is abit of a tight squeeze to get the over the cabinet door hanger onto the door. Ideally, if it could hang a little lower so that it could actually shut into a cabinet that would be more ideal! I also like how the lid can slide open quite easily. It’s a well designed compost bin overall.

This organic waste bin is really good quality and has a nice sleek and simple design. I find that it is the perfect size for organic waste disposal. I appreciate that it has the capability to be mounted to the cabinet or wall to save space, and that it has a convenient handle. The sliding lid is also a great feature. This product really helps you to properly and easily dispose of organic waste. An overall great product!

Very lightweight and versatile

It’s not heavy, it can go almost anywhere, and it’s great for small spaces! I’d recommend it for compost, coffee machine pods, bathrooms, under the kitchen sink, etc. I would just be mindful not to excessively load it with weight if you’re opting to hang it on a cabinet door rather than mounting it, as it is not made for heavy things. The sliding mechanism of the lid is really cool and it’s easy to install thanks to the handy instruction guide. I’m really happy I was offered this to review.

Compact and handy

This organic bin is much better than the one we had before. It is sturdy with a clean design and if we choose to hang it outside the cabinets, it fits into our modern decor. There is another positioning option where it can be mounted on a cabinet door if you prefer a more fixed location. This is how we have had the bin set up for the last two weeks and is great because it hides the organics out of sight. It opens and closes smoothly and is an ideal size that is large enough to hold a week's worth of one family's organics, but isn't too big for us to fit under the sink. We also like that there is a sturdy handle attached that allows us to bring it outside when we have BBQ's. It makes for easy disposal and is a convenient bin to have in the house.
