Good rice mix when in a hurry to make a healthy meal.

These are great I only buy them on sale or with a coupon. I like them because you can still stir fry them on the stove. Add veg and meat they are a fun light meal.

I have tried a few different varieties of this rice & I have to say I am a fan. I have the tendency to over cook rice constantly, measure too much or to little, this eliminates that problem completely! Let's just say rice cooking is definitely not my forte.
Comes in a variety of different flavours which is great! And the fact that it is ready in under 2 minutes is amazing! Perfect, quick, easy rice every time!

I usually like to cook from scratch but I bought this rice when I lived at a place with no kitchen, just a microwave.
So I was skeptical.

But the Uncle Ben's Bistro Express rice really surprised me! I tried the Long Grain & Wild - Roasted Chicken flavour and it exceeded my expectations.

The rice took 90 seconds to cook and it was done perfectly! The rice was light, fluffy, and most importantly for me, did not contain too much salt.

The only negative was that the whole pouch was extremely hot after cooking and I did not find the Cool Touch area to be very effective. I was eager to eat and may not have waited a suitable length of time before handling the pouch but I would suggest giving it about 10 seconds.

Overall, I was impressed with Uncle Ben's Bistro Express rice and would recommend it to others!

These make for a great quick and easy side dish! paird great with any meat or chicken and comes in a variety of flavours so there is something for everyone. The only kind I didnt like was the "lemon chicken" rice, it was go nasty I had to throw it out! I love the chicken flavoured long grain and wild rice, its delicious and ready in a minute so you cant go wrong!

I was a little skeptical of microwave rice, but this is a great product! The rice is tasty and fluffy...not to mention it only takes 90 seconds in the microwave! Super easy side dish on the go!
