NOT WORTH THE HYPE or the long long wait
I was at a location. And their wait was over half an hour. Refused to be sold a hot out of oven cake for my parents Christmas dinner in January (everyone got covid so we all had to recover before we could meet up) and get to the front of the line the oven is pushing out fresh and I asked for one was refused saying first out first sold, if I wanted the next batch I had to get back to the back of the line and take my chances my timing will coincide with the next batch exiting their oven. Found that to be ridiculous.
Some people like hot fresh cheesecakes. Some people don’t care. (I’m one that didn’t care) but my mom cared. She’s picky about her cheesecakes. I prefer traditional ones frozen. She likes them thawed. Why make such a big deal it’s 3-4 left they could have easily sold it to the next few people behind me?
Anyways. Do not recommend. It wasn’t worth the hype and the experience was below satisfactory
The ingredients was fresh. But cold cheesecakes just not the same as fresh hot still out of the oven (according to mom)
Trendy, over-hyped, small-batch Japanese cheesecakes that taste mainly of butter. Delicious butter. I can see why people like it but it's really barely worth the money ($10) or the line ups. You can get cheaper Japanese cheesecakes elsewhere.
I think the hype is way too high. This cheesecake is good but not for the line up. It definitely taste really good when it is warm but mediocre when it is room temperature or cold. Enjoy the cheesecake warm or you can find other bakeries that do a good job too.
Traditional Japanese Cheesecakes made right in Toronto! They're very light and fluffy, the complete opposite of an American Cheesecake. For 10$ you'll get enough to share with four people, so they're an every now-and-then treat rather than a go-to dessert.
