I have a love hate relationship with this eyeliner. It has a very bold colour to it and glides on easily. HOWEVER, it does not last and I am constantly wiping away raccoon eyes the whole day but that could just be because of my skin type. Its a great product but just requires some maintenance throughout the day.
I love love love how silky this liner goes on and stays relatively long on the waterline. Even after other liners have disappeared - the shimmer stays for the whole night!
I love how these eyeliner pencils go on so smooth. Vibrant colours. My only issue with these is the price is a little high so I only buy basic colours and save the 'fun' colours for when I am buying less expensive dupes, like NYX Slide On eyeliners.
This product applies effortlessly and it is so pigmented. The black is jet black and it always maintains a nice creamy texture for a pencil so there is no tugging. I love using it. The only problem is that it smudges a little when I use it on my upper lid after extended periods of time, which is still better than most eyeliners (I do have slightly oily eyelids too) so because of this I typically use it when I am lining my bottom lash line and it does a fabulous job
If you put it in the fridge, you will not lose half of it when you sharpen! Otherwise it glides on well, even on my old eyes!
This is definitely one of the few pencil liners I will use, for several reasons. Even though the price is quite high (about $18 in my area), its effectiveness, the fact that it's waterproof (although not as waterproof as MAC's liquid liner which won't come off for days), and because it doesn't smudge on MY eyes - maybe because of their shape - I would say it's worth it. Not to mention that it's one of the few liners that I've bought that I still use. Most pencils I purchased in the past are sitting there sadly in their little pencil container, unused. I haven't even bothered sharpening them once. Besides that, spending $18 on an eye liner you will use down to a stub, as opposed to a $6 one that never gets used, it's kinda obvious which is the better value. There is also the fact that most decent liners I see nowadays - and not so decent - are around the $18 mark, so this one is not outrageously priced in comparison. I have found, however, that GOSH at Shoppers Drug Mart has waterproof eye liners in very similar colors which are just as waterproof, and for a cheaper price.
I've found these liners to be very creamy, with no pulling and tugging required to get good application. They are also pigmented to the extreme, and as another reviewer said, really stand out from a distance. That may not be a good thing for a funeral, but is great for everyday or going-out-at-night wear if you prefer something other than boring, flat black or brown.
In addition, because they are so creamy, it is very easy to pack loose or even solid powder shadows over them to either intensify or mute them somewhat, or even smudging them out for a more faded appearance, creating more looks than just a standard lined eye. Very easy to create a smokey look, a softened look, or a vibrant look with these.
And of course women always look at the packaging. Without a doubt. That has gotten to me purchase more crap products than I care to admit :-) But along with the great quality of these pencils, they are also very eye-catching and easy to find in my bag or in my pencil container amongst all the other dull-looking ones.
Would I buy again? Maybe. This would definitely be one of the very few pencil liners I would purchase if I ever needed one, but seeing as I use mainly cream and gel liners, along with shadow sticks with minerals and pigments packed on top, it may be a while before I purchase another one. They're definitely at the top of my list of good quality pencil liners, though.
This pencil is probably one of the better eyeliner pencils i've ever used.
It's kind of expensive, for just a small pencil, but a little goes a long way.
What i loved about this product is that the colour stays. You can see it a mile away, and it's boldness makes it perfect for a night out!
I also like the look of the pencil, which is cute and has a nice silver cap to go along with it
However, i did find some issues with the pencil...which include:
expensive
didn't sharpen well - kept breaking off
a little smudging, undereye only
loses sharpness easily
too much shimmer
All in all, Since I have extremely bad luck when it comes to purchasing pencil eyeliners that don't smudge the botom eye, I've come to the conclusion that this eyeliner is the "best in a bad situation" kind of deal.
I will be purchasing this again, since I do use pencil eyeliners a fair bit.
This goes on nice and smoothly. My problem is with the staying power. On my eye lids with the Potion Primer is works miracles, but on the water line it tends to smudge a lot and eventually makes me look like I have super dark circles under my eyes. I do not recommend putting this on yours if you have deep set eyes like I do. Just keep it on top to highlight your eyes and go with something more water-proof below.
I love Urban Decay and I'm obsessed with Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero (black/noir)! It's one of my favorites / a classic / everyday essential! It glides on well and is waterproof.
Plus, the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils come in various fun and vibrant colors... I definitely have a few colors I'd love to collect!
