A great natural finish foundation!

I was so excited when I got the email saying I’d receive the new @urbandecaycosmetics Face Bond Foundation to test it out 💫

I did my normal skin prep and layered it on with my silicone applicator. It’s buildable and has medium coverage so it’s best for people who want more of a natural skin finish. The colour I received was more yellow and slightly lighter than my skin tone so it wasn’t a true match but they have 40 colours in their shade range 😮 so I'm sure one of the other shades would fit me more perfectly.

I wore it for a full 8 hour work day and here’s how it held up: Overall the coverage stayed put. The foundation did start separating a bit around my nose and in the creases. So, for my oily combination skin I would give it an 8/10.

The dropper opening is also interesting, after using it I prefer it to a pump or doe foot applicator because there’s less mess 🧼

Drying, but nice!

I love the packaging! I find that the small tip helps prevent overflowing (I'm clumsy!). As for the formula, I like that it lasts all day, the application is #1 and I don't need to apply powder or anything else on my skin afterward. My only downside is that it makes my skin very dry so I have to moisturize it adequately first!

Looks amazing but creases slightly

Thanks to Butterly I got to try this foundation for free in exchange for my honest review. I took me a few days to figure out the best way to apply this foundation but once I got the hang of it, I absolutely loved it. Less is more with this so I only focus on one area of my face at a time and build up thin layers till I get the coverage I want. Since it is a matte finish as well as self-setting I find it is best to apply it with a damp beauty blender or sponge, that way you have a bit more time to work with it. I love that you can really get the coverage that you want and still feel lightweight and like you aren't wearing anything. This is probably the most comfortable foundation I have ever worn. I completely forget I am wearing makeup and the best part is it is transfer-proof. I had my phone pressed to my cheek for a while on a call and when I was done zero transfer. When I wiped my face with a tissue zero transfer. Took a nap and zero transfer. The only thing I don't like is after a bit it does crease under my eyes. I also have to prep my skin well because I have dry skin and this is a matte foundation. I am excited to see if the built-in 3% Niacinamide serum makes a difference over time. So far my skin feels and looks pretty good.

Can't go back to my old stuff!

I have been using this foundation for a few weeks now and I am in LOVE. I prefer a dewey finish usually (which often means I use liquid foundation) but have had a lot of acne and scarring lately, so I have been leaning towards more of a matte finish instead. I went back to my old standby, MAC Studio Fix which I do love, but it looked so flat and dry to me. This foundation found me at the exact right time!

It applies really beautifully with the nozzle. Not too much product comes out at a time which works perfectly for me when I apply with a brush. I did try to apply with my fingers as well but did not like the look of that application as much. I think if I had tried again with less product it would have looked better, but I did find it to be a little cakey when applied that way.

The liquid dries pretty quickly, so I found it was best to apply a small line to each section of my face before applying the next. It feels like a cream to powder type product. The self setting nature of this product is incredible. You really do not need to go back and set with powder or spray (in fact when I did try using setting spray with a beauty blender afterwards, I found it actually disturbed the make up!) It is a medium buildable coverage, so it is really perfect for acne prone skin as it covers extremely well, while still looking like skin.

I received this product free to try from Urban Decay and Butterly. I do have to say that at $57 it is quite pricey (definitely a little bit more than I would typically pay) but I am extremely happy with the product so I would definitely repurchase it when it finishes, because I cannot imagine going back to any of my old foundations after trying this. It really works mind-blowingly well for my skin.

Buildable & Lightweight

I really liked this product. It's super light, self setting and looks so natural on my skin. You definitely need to have moisturized skin before applying but it goes on nice and smooth. Lasts long, sweat proof and water proof!

Tenance et waterproof

La couvrance est moyenne modulable, à mon avis, et le fond de teint reste toute la journée par son côté waterproof.
Mais:
La texture après l'application laisse bien visible mes pores, ce qui ne fait pas un beau rendu. Et il faut faire l'application rapidement avant que le fond de teint se fige.

Lightweight foundation

I really liked this foundation. The packaging is super cute and the applicator was super helpful in keeping it neat and only squeezing out as much as I needed ! It didn’t make my face feel greasy or heavy and it lasted all day .

A great base foundation

I have always been a fan of @urbandecaycosmetics makeup so I was thrilled when I discovered I was selected to receive the Face Bond Self Setting Waterproof Foundation free for review from @thisisbutterly !
This foundation is lightweight with a medium buildable coverage. I didn't find it too dry nor did it settle in my lines or pores. As much as I thought this shade would be perfect, it is actually bit too dark, but it will be great after I get a bit of summer sun! I really like the packaging, the squeeze bottle is super convenient. I totally envisioned an explosion like a ketchup bottle, but it was really easy to use and it doesn't come out too fast!
8/10, I would definitely try this again in a more suitable shade!

Long wear

It feels very very light weight almost like you don’t even have make up on which is very nice. Also after taking it off my face doesn’t feel dry and it feels like I’ve had only skin care on my face all day Overall really liked it
