Nice for a quick "treat"

The pastry is light and not overwhelming. They are not overly sweet which I liked very much but would have preferred more "butter" flavour to the butter tart. Not bad for a store bought pastry at all! I do think that 2 tarts per package is a bit much, but some might insist that you can't eat just one lol

Great flavor

This was full of flavor. Crust was buttery and flaky. Great overall taste. The older kids also enjoyed them. Not quite like grandmas but pretty close, especially for store bought.

Can go great as a snack or with tea
Will definitely be purchasing again.

Butter tarts

They were a sweet and pleasant treat! Very moist and chewy, the shell was okay, kept it from falling apart, a quick snack to pick up if you have no time to make a dessert, I would recommend. I enjoyed the free treat!

Granny Butter Tarts

Having always enjoyed Vachon products, and not having tried these ones. I was pleasantly surprised to get this offer. Once purchased the entire family tried them.

Taste Great

I really enjoyed the butter tart the taste and texture was good. However, the crust could be more flaky like a pastry instead of processed pastry which I realize it was. The flavours were nice and tasted close to homemade but the filling was low and could have used more as you could see the raisin as the filling didn't cover them. I like raisins and don't mind seeing them just could have been more to it.
I liked that 2 were packaged together so the others will stay fresh. They were gooey just like a homemade but not to gooey so you ended up spilling right down your front.
I didn't know this item was available until I received my coupon to try it out for free.
