Chocolate lovers!!

This cake is a chocolate lovers dream!! It is made of a dense yet airy chocolate sponge cake, a dollop of thick and creamy milk chocolate frosting and covered in a light coating of milk chocolate. The cake is crumbly as you bit into it and you get different chocolate flavor profiles. The cake is a semi-sweet chocolate while the icing is more of a milk chocolate. I've been eating the VACHON brand for as long as I can remember, so when I saw these at the store I had to try them. These have a nice chocolatey filling and chocolate-flavoured frosting. Great alone for a sweet snack or with your favourite hot beverage.

Vachon is a grandfather brand in Quebec and these cakes have been around all my life. They are conveniently packaged for lunches and two go down well during a mid afternoon break. Chocolate is sweet, cake is spongy and filling is creamy. These are average....but a good filler if nothing else is available.

I recently picked these up to try because they were on sale for $2.00. I was pleasantly surprised at how good these were, the cake was very soft and the frosting has a strong chocolate taste which I love. I will defiantly purchase these again.
