Not bad, needs tons of ice

I was chosen to provide an honest review in exchange for a free Van Houtte® Brew Over Ice Black Classic 10 pack of K-Cups. Flavour wasn't bad, but when I read the box I was expecting it to have a bit of sweetness or something because it said the products was "flavoured." I guess it meant coffee flavoured? I brewed it over nearly an entire tray of ice cubes but it still ended up being pretty warm. What else would I expect if I'm using hot coffee 🤣🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I let it cool in the fridge for a few hours. Threw it in my travel mug with more ice and a bit of cream and it was pretty decent. I'll probably just brew it normally and put it in the fridge overnight like I usually do with ice coffee. Probably won't buy it in the future, though.

Great tadting

I enjoyed the Van Houtte brand already and this is no difference. You just need to not add all the ice at the beginning and save some for when it's done brewing. Overall good but not sure the difference between this and regular coffee pods.

Bold yet smooth

Bold but smooth. There's not bitter aftertaste nor sourness to it. You can taste the bean oil and a nice bold coffee taste. The husband likes his black and said it is his favorite k-cup. I like mine with some cream for some creaminess to the bold coffee

I love ice brew! Because this coffee is pretty bold, it'll be fine with regular ice. But if you don't want to dilute it at all, make some coffee ice cubes!

Great coffee, needs lots of ice

This K pod from Vanhoutte tastes great and I love that it’s designed to be “iced”, however it is a bit of a difficult process to actually get the coffee to be cold. I put in 5 large ice cubes to be poured over and all melted immediately. It was lukewarm not iced, but still tasted great! I will have to play around with the ice amount to see if I can make it actually iced!

Too strong

I received Van Houtte® Brew Over Ice Black Classic sample for free to try for my honest review. I was very excited to have the option of iced coffee and never thought it would be easy to prepare. I followed the instructions but it was too strong for me (I am a classic coffee lover, I don't add sugar on my coffee too) a bit too bitter for me and I believe it could easily make two cups instead. I didn't try to use it to make two cups of coffee yet, but it's my plan.

Original and practical!

Coldbrew and cold coffee are eral must to drink in summers, but it's not always easy or convinient to do it at home. When we are in a hurry, it's totally impossible. But this Van Houtte alternative is the solution to escape a visit to a coffee shop. It's more affordable and we only need ice and a keurig compatible machine. What a relief to be able to drink a good cold coffee at home and ready in few minutes! The taste is okay/great and totally do the job! It's the easy way and it's a good way!

Makes a yummy iced coffee

I gave this product 4 stars because it did taste good and it made a decent iced coffee, whether I brewed it directly over the ice or let it sit and added my own ice. The flavor never got watered down and could rival an iced beverage purchased from a coffee shop. So, it was definitely good and I would recommend it, however, the reason it didn’t get a full 5 is I have had other at home coffee products that I have made before, not brand specific, and they yielded very similar results in that they made a good quality cold (or hot) coffee. So, up against different brands or flavors, whether it’s meant to start out as cold brew or you turn it into an iced coffee yourself, I didn’t find a ton of difference. Having said that, looping back to my original statement in this product and only this product, yes, it made a good over ice cold brew coffee and you wouldn’t be disappointed. I would certainly purchase this product again.

Pretty good.

Coffee taste is great ! Definitely need the cool brew button or an iced coffee machine to drink this, or else it turns into just regular coffee that you need to put in the fridge/freezer to get it cold.

Amazing coffee!

This coffee tastes amazing! I really like medium roast and I was surprised that the flavour really came through when I poured it over ice. Perfect for hot summer days when you don't want to go out but still want a cold coffee! #vanhoutte #butterly #gotitfree

A Great Way to Make Iced Coffee at Home

I loved trying these new Van Houtte Black Brew Over Ice Coffee pods. I used these pods for a week straight, and needless to say I’m hooked! I never knew myself to be a big iced coffee drinker, but there’s something about starting a hot summer’s morning with an ice-cold coffee beverage that I love! The coffee is very smooth, and you get a generous amount out of each pod considering you’re also adding ice. The one thing I’m left wondering is why I would use these pods to make iced coffee compared to a regular Keurig pod. As far as I can tell, any coffee pod can be used to make iced coffee (just brew it over ice), so I’m not sure why I would buy pods that are made exclusively to make cold drinks when I can just use a regular pod to make both hot and cold coffees. Nevertheless, these pods made a delicious iced coffee and I can’t wait to try more!
