Smooth taste, easy to use

This was my first time trying Van Houtte and I was pleasantly surprised. Coffee had a smooth taste and wasn't bitter. I drink my coffee black and was impressed by the bold and rich taste. No issues of dilution with ice and while the ice melted a bit at first, the drink quickly cooled down to a normal ice coffee temperature. I would definitely purchase for the taste again but wish the cups were compostable.

Great iced coffee

This is my first time trying Van Houten coffee. At first, I was not sure if I like it or not because the medium roast seemed a little bit bitter to my taste. After adding ice and milk, I find it tasted much better than just black coffee. It does give me a wake up call in the morning, especially after adding the ice, chilling but long last taste. I would probably purchase again.

Tasty easy home treat

The Van Houtte Brew Over Ice Black Classic Coffee lives up to its promise of being a full-bodied black coffee that is perfect for a refreshing summer brew on the go. It maintains the reliable quality of the Van Houtte brand while also being suitable for a cold brew, avoiding any unpleasant bitterness when added to ice. However, it is worth noting that the recommendation to use a non-glass container when brewing over ice may present some challenges. It can be tricky to find a cup or tumbler that is the right size for the K-Cup brewer spout and can also hold the necessary amount of ice for a perfectly chilled taste.

Great strong coffee flavor

I was selected by Butterly to try out the new Van Houtte Classic Black medium roast Keurig pod for free and here’s what I thought.

This was fairly easy to make, insert Keurig pod into machine, throw some ice in a cup and add a splash of milk. (Instructions say not to use a glass during the brewing process as it can crack due to the heat) I used a mug and then transferred to a glass.

I used coffee ice cubes and they melted fairly quickly during the brewing process, so I added some regular ice cubes.

Instead of using milk, I opted for oat milk and I didn’t add any sweetener as I wanted to experience the taste as is.

Taste was refreshing and it was not bitter nor sour with a strong coffee flavor.

I like that I don’t need to use another machine to make an iced coffee, I can simply use the Keurig coffee machine and it’s quick to make a glass. Definitely something I will reach for more often in the summer.

Great taste, not watered down

Brewed this morning and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the flavor was even after being diluted with ice. The only issue I have is that the ingredients include instant coffee which I'm not a fan of.

Tastes good

I really enjoyed the taste of this coffee, the flavour is bold and rich which is excellent for a brew over ice not losing its flavour. I also tried it as just a regular coffee without ice and it was just as good!

My only wish would be for the k-cups to be fully compostable, otherwise it’s a great product!

A bit inconvenient

The Van Houtte Brew over ice is a great product in terms of taste and how quickly I can make a cold (colder) coffee. It is a bit inconvenient though if you don't have a non-glass cup/tumbler to brew in since you are not supposed to brew in a glass cup or mug. Also, since you brew over ice but still add water when you brew (and possibly more ice after the brew) it's easy to make the coffee too watery. A fix for that would be to make your ice with milk or more coffee instead of just water, but obviously that's more planning--which defeats the purpose of how easy and quick these are supposed to be. It tasted okay to me though, so I don't know if the concentration of coffee in the pod is stronger than usual Keurig pods.

Yummy coffee!

This was super easy to brew! It’s the exact same process as a normal k cup. Just need to fill your cup with ice! I liked the flavour and strength of this coffee. I found it super easy to make. It goes well with milk and it’s perfect for the summer time. I would recommend this product to anyone who is a coffee drinker and wants to try an iced version for the summer!

Classic Black Medium Roast

I received a 10 capsule box of Van Houtte Brew Over Ice Coffee classic medium roast courtesy of @thisisbutterly in exchange for my honest and unbiased review #gotitfree #freeproduct.

Van Houtte classic medium roast contains Arabica coffee, instant coffee, and natural flavours. The coffee was extremely easy to make and it tasted great. The coffee was not very bitter but enough bite to last on the tongue. I had the medium roast black over ice and it tasted very smooth. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Strong flavor!

I got the opportunity to try Van Houtte Brew Over Ice Black Classic coffee from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. I thought it was a fairly simple process overall. Fill up a tall cup or tumbler with ice, put the pod in the Keurig, make sure you hit strong and make the coffee. Add some milk and sugar or creamer and you're good to go! I thought the coffee had a very bold flavor and did not feel watered down at all even with all the ice. The flavor was really good, however I noticed a bitter after taste. It could just be that I'm not used to a strong flavor but it was noticeable for me, so I would need more milk/creamer. I would definitely recommend this coffee for those who like a bold coffee flavor. Perfect for the hot weather that's upon us!
