It does contain a baby powder fragrance, and if your baby has sensitive skin, I don't recommend this product. Seems like making a product smell particularly "baby fresh" by adding artificial fragrance deems it better for babies than pure product without the fragrance. Today's baby allergens and exposure to hormone altering chemicals in every-day products, we should be extra-vigilant to ensure our growing babies receive only the best in their healthcare products. The regular Vaseline product is completely fragrance free!?
This is a staple product. When I run out of makeup remover or I am travelling I can use this to remove eye makeup, but im not sure I would use it on my face as I think it might clog pores. It is very moisturizing but im a bit worried at the safety of petroleum jelly as I heard it is potentially dangerous and slightly toxic.
I bought Vaseline baby for after my son's surgery. I wanted a small tub that was as sterile as possible. It worked well for its purpose but in general I would avoid using vaseline products on babies. It contains petroleum which is a component in gasoline. It can't be good for their skin.
Vaseline Baby is a nice product but really not suited to use on babies bottoms. It is a basic barrier cream that is thick and greasy on a baby's bottom.
