I have a very deep fissure on my left heal. Every summer it dries out and cracks and can become quite painful to walk on to the point where I can't put pressure on my heal, and therefore walk with a limp which leads to other problems such as charlie horse in my calf. I thought this was due to wearing flip flops but I just can't stand having my feet enclosed in hot weather b/c my feet swell.


My pedicurist recommended Vaseline each and every night with sox at bedtime. I thought "no way! I cannot wear sox to bed, they won't stay on". Well the fissure was so bad two nights ago that I had no choice. Guess what....it's working! Yeah!

I love vaseline since it has so many uses. I use it on dry skin, dry lips and also at every diaper change on my daughter ( she had her own jar). I find it prevents diaper rashes and helps her when she is a little constipated.
