I personally loved this moisturizer due to the great smell as well as the way it really absorbed into my skin. It is expensive but use a coupon and get it on sale and it is not that bad - very similar to other lotions. I love the smell of this moisturizer and noticed both the smell and effect lasted a long time. Great product.
I received this product through the Product Review Cub (thanks :D!) And overall I was not impressed with this moisturizer. First major drawback was the price. I could not believe how expensive it was!! I personally would never spend that much on body moisturizer and for such a small bottle. Adding to that was that fact that I didn't find anything amazing about this product that would make it worth the price. It had a strong smell and I found that it worked just as well as others I'd used in the past (Jergens, St. Ives, etc). I wouldn't recommended it, there are many other products that give you the same results and more "bang for you buck"
I was lucky enough to receive this through chickadvisor - and was glad that I didn't spend a pretty penny at all!
While it performs pretty well overall - it moisturizes adequately, perhaps even better than the regular hand-pumped body lotion - it doesn't cut it. Especially for the price range it retails (around 7$ for 200 mL), the lotion must warrant SOME gimmick, at the very least. I received the "mineral" variation, and aside from a lingering scent that others have liked (except for me, it's just not my cup of tea), I found that it just went on light and disappeared fairly quickly (i take this to mean it absorbed well, but i'll talk about that after)
.
While this passes the first of my tests for evaluating moisturizers, it did not fare so well on the second - and in my opinion - most crucial part : actual moisturizing capability/results. Like many other evaluators have reviewed, it leaves a residue - maybe it's the minerals? While it does leave your skin feeling smooth and silky to the touch (of others and your own hands), you can feel your skin below the moisturizer stretching against something sitting on it. Furthermore, I've noticed that my skin isn't any more moisturized (even though I took the disappearance of the lotion to mean that it was "absorbed") than if I had stuck to my regular body lotion; which, despite being greasier, less light weight, and slower to absorb, seems to actually penetrate the skin and hydrate it, as opposed to sitting on it.
ex: After my shower, I skip moisturizing if I plan to attend hot yoga (bikram) because I slip when I attempt balancing postures. When I did this while I was on my regular lotion, my skin remained healthy and hydrated. While on the Vaseline Sheer Infusion trial, I noticed that my skin was flakier and fared less well.
I refrained from reviewing this until I had used this product until the end, and I have to say I don't notice much improvement. The only benefits I can see is that it produces what I would call a cosmetic result - immediate silkiness of the skin after application, but no real moisturizing. Coming from a girl who's willing to spend hundreds on a single item of skincare, I suggest sticking to the budget hand-pump moisturizers: for a couple dollars more, you get 3 times the moisturizer with actual results. This has failed to impress me.
I received a Free Product Coupon from Chick Advisor to try the Sheer Infusion Minera Body Lotion out. I have to honestly say, in my deep opinion, I hate it. It leaves a gross residue on my skin no matter how much I rub it it.. it wont soak in my skin! I have used many many body lotions before and I have to say this is the worst one I have ever tried. Not worth the money at all.
Also, I have a skin skin condition called eczema. After I tried using this product, my skin started stinging and my eczema became inflamed. I have never had this problem before.. it aggravates my eczema.
I do not recommend this product for anyone who has eczema or someone who wants a lotion that actually moisturizes. On another note, at least the lotion smells really good.
Thanks to Chick Advisor, I received a Free Product Coupon so I could try out the new body lotion by Vaseline. It is Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys 3 and I choose the Mineral variety.
I went into this thinking that you know all body lotions are the same. I mean Vaseline is already a really terrific brand and how would they ever be able to improve upon what they already have out on the market. Well, let me tell you, they succeeded. The new Sheer Infusion with Stratys 3 is just wonderful. The lotion itself is a nice consistency. It's rich and thick, not watery at all. It is easily absorbed into my skin and leaves a light, feminine fragrance. I have really dry skin and in the winter is gets extremely dry and cracked. It is especially dry on my hands, elbows and feet. After a couple of days of using the lotion I saw a really noticeable improvement in the overall condition of my skin. No longer did my skin look dry and flaky. My skin was much softer and the little cracks in my hands were starting to heal up. My skin looks and feels so nice and I no longer tear my pantyhose when I put put feet in them!! A big bonus.
I would definitely recommend this lotion to everyone, especially those with chronic dry skin. It really does wok and worth the little bit extra money.
Vaseline Sheer Infusion works very well and has a great scent. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to relieve everyday dry skin.
This lotion is AWESOME!! It is a thicker lotion that completely coats and penetrates dry skin. It is very moisturizing and lasts for a long time. And I love the soft scent!!
I used this lotion in "Mineral" and it smells great! It's a light scent, not overpowering. It goes on smooth and silky and provides deep moisture. Makes your skin soft, smooth and sexy.
I got the botanical one and it smells amazing ! i've been using it after the shower and i do notice a difference. it gives my skin a silkier feel compared to the the cocoa butter vaseline lotion i've been using. also, for both i find that the formula works well for conditioning the skin but i feel that the density is too thin for my preference.
i liked the smell of the botanical soo much that i also bought the mineral one, which also smell amazing ! (:
overall, i really like this product though i find it kind of pricey for the quantity but i would definitely recommend this to anyone will to spend the extra buck and i would buy it again. (:
