I am quite disappointed with this new line of products from Vaseline. I have it in the Vitamin formula, and although the scent is actually quite nice, it's a bit strong and tends to compete with my perfume. The formula itself is quite runny and didn't moisturize as well as I had hoped. I find that the moisturizing effect only lasts for a couple of hours. This is a lotion that would be best used during the hot summer months, but not when you need a lot of moisturizing during the winter. It retails for $9.99 CAD here for a small 200ml bottle. That, in my opinion, is too much money to pay for something that only provides mediocre results. I recommend staying with Vaseline's original formula lotions. They are half the price for twice the size, and do a great job of moisturizing my skin.

I was lucky enough to receive this through chickadvisor - and was glad that I didn't spend a pretty penny at all!
While it performs pretty well overall - it moisturizes adequately, perhaps even better than the regular hand-pumped body lotion - it doesn't cut it. Especially for the price range it retails (around 7$ for 200 mL), the lotion must warrant SOME gimmick, at the very least. I received the "mineral" variation, and aside from a lingering scent that others have liked (except for me, it's just not my cup of tea), I found that it just went on light and disappeared fairly quickly (i take this to mean it absorbed well, but i'll talk about that after)
    .
While this passes the first of my tests for evaluating moisturizers, it did not fare so well on the second - and in my opinion - most crucial part : actual moisturizing capability/results. Like many other evaluators have reviewed, it leaves a residue - maybe it's the minerals? While it does leave your skin feeling smooth and silky to the touch (of others and your own hands), you can feel your skin below the moisturizer stretching against something sitting on it. Furthermore, I've noticed that my skin isn't any more moisturized (even though I took the disappearance of the lotion to mean that it was "absorbed") than if I had stuck to my regular body lotion; which, despite being greasier, less light weight, and slower to absorb, seems to actually penetrate the skin and hydrate it, as opposed to sitting on it.

ex: After my shower, I skip moisturizing if I plan to attend hot yoga (bikram) because I slip when I attempt balancing postures. When I did this while I was on my regular lotion, my skin remained healthy and hydrated. While on the Vaseline Sheer Infusion trial, I noticed that my skin was flakier and fared less well.

I refrained from reviewing this until I had used this product until the end, and I have to say I don't notice much improvement. The only benefits I can see is that it produces what I would call a cosmetic result - immediate silkiness of the skin after application, but no real moisturizing. Coming from a girl who's willing to spend hundreds on a single item of skincare, I suggest sticking to the budget hand-pump moisturizers: for a couple dollars more, you get 3 times the moisturizer with actual results. This has failed to impress me.

I got the Vaseline Sheer with minerals. I was so excited about this new product... but what a dissapointment! It is definitely different from the regular Vaseline product. It's lighter... but the quality is still Vaseline. What I mean by that is that, the Vaseline cream doesn't sink through... it leaves a sticky feeling on your skin. It feels like there's a film of cream protecting your skin, instead of moisturizing it in depth.

If you're looking for a moisturizing lotion, this wouldn't be the one... but if you're really dry skinned and are looking for something to protect your skin from the cold wind, this may work.

I got the Vaseline Sheer with Vitamin. It smells nice, but the lotion doesnt absorb as quickly and is a little sticky feeling. It does a good job though on keeping my dry skin moisturized. Other than that, theres nothing I can say that makes this product stand out from other lotions. The price as well is a little too high for the amount you get.
Thanks ChickAdvisor for choosing me to sample this product!

It is a nice enough product, but it is too bad about the parabens and other not so good for you stuff in it. I wish manufactuers would consider the health of the people and at least place a warning on the label.

I received a free coupon to try this out. I was really excited to see how it works. I tried it and I have to say I didn't like it one bit. It does help the skin but the scent is just too unbearable. I don't like perfume, floral kind of smells. So what really put me off was the scent. I wish Vaseline would come up with a line that smelled sweet instead of floral. Or for those with perfume allergies did a non-fragrance one.

I also received the free coupon and tried this. I don't think it is worth the price it is being sold for. It did moistureize fairly well, but I didn't like the scent. I most likely won't purchase this again.

I got this with the coupon for the free bottle, and it's a good thing, because I wouldn't have paid that much for the lotion to try it. I tried to read on the bottle what was the difference between the 3 types of lotion, but not only did it not say, but the type was almost too small to read. I went for the vitamin E, because that's supposed to be good for your skin, and I have dry skin. The smell is OK, a bit fruity for me, and it goes on ok, but I seem to need quite a bit to cover my skin. It seems to moisturise OK, but my skin still needs more lotion when I would normally put more on, so it's not any more lasting that what I normally use. So while it's an OK product, I don't think it's worth the price, seeing as I needed to use quite a bit, and the bottle won't last me long.

I finally received me coupon in the mail for the product review club! I rushed out and bought it last week and thought I'd give it a few tres before reviewing.

First off, when I went to the store to get it, I saw there were three different version - Mineral, vitamin and botanical. I was already disappointed because it did not further explain the benefits to choosing one or the other. I chose vitamin because I knew B5 and vitamin E would be be nice on my skin.

I was excited to try it, so when Ig ot back to my car, I used it on my hands. It went on nice, and smooth, and it was non-greasy. I wasn't crazy about the scent, but I have never been a fan of any Vaseline lotion scents...I've always found them to be somewhat overpowering. The lotion made my hands soft, but I found it didn't last. But, giving it the benefit of the doubt, I thought that maybe it's becuase I use my hands a lot.

Over the next few days, I started putting the lotion on right when I get out of the shower. My skin has been noticeably less dry since I started that, so that has been great. That being said, I don't find that it worked any better than many other lotions out there.

Overall, I am not impressed. It did work to keep my skin less dry than usual, but I did not find it worked better than other lotions. I did not enjoy the scent. I did not enjoy that they did not explain the difference between the three kinds. The cost is high for a small bottle. Overall, I would not recommend this to a friend.
