I've tried all 3 versions of this lotion and it's not bad! It goes on pretty well and feels like it may have a bit of silicone in it to help trap moisture.
I personally don't really like any of the scents it came in--they were far too strong and detracted from the experience. The lotion itself was ok, my skin was moisturized after using it, but it had a bit of a greasy feel. I also wonder about the cost. You get very little lotion in the bottle, and it goes quickly if you use it on your whole body! I'm not sure what they're charging (I got mine for free) but it's probably too much since you go through it so fast.
Overall its an ok product but I will probably not buy it for myself, I will stick to my no-name intensive lotion which absorbs better and costs less!
When I got the lotion, I was at first a bit skeptical about the lotion because of it's light creamy texture (it kind of reminded me of dollar store lotion) but after a few applications across a few days, I was pretty surprised at how my skin felt. It was pretty moisturized, smooth and silky feeling, and not dry or flaky at all. So I have to give this lotion a thumbs up! I got 3 of these lotions by accident (I think) and was planning to give two of them away but I think I'm going to keep them for myself now..... :)
I wasn't sure what to expect from this body lotion by Vaseline. I found the shape of the bottle confusing because at first glance I assumed it was shower gel. When I read the words "body lotion" I realized it was for moisturizing. =)
My first impression was that it was quite thin and watery compared to the usual products I use (Lubriderm lotion, Aveeno and Body Shop's body butter). However, I was really impressed with its ability to moisturize all day long - and it's not greasy! I would definitely recommend this product. I love the fact that it's both effective and not greasy/heavy. Who would have thought?
I also gave some to my friend to try out and she said that she found her skin to be less scaly when she used this product compared to the other body lotion that she usually uses.
The only downside is that it has a scent which some people might be sensitive to. So I would only recommend this to someone who doesn't mind things that are scented.
I was sent Vaseline Sheer Infusion through the ChickAdvisor Product Review club. I get super dry skin when it starts to get cold so I've left the bottle at work and use it regularly to combat the dry office air. I absolutely love how silky my skin feels after using it. It's not as thick as other body lotions I've tried, but I actually like that about it. It seems to absorb faster/better than some of the creamier lotions. And I really love the smell. I don't wear perfume, or strong scents, so I like that it has a subtle citrus-y smell that isn't over powering but is pleasant. Would definitely recommend this body lotion to friends!
I really loved this moisturizer! It's not greasy and makes your skin feel great. My legs get really dry during the winter and I applied this body lotion and it worked wonderfully. Its just enough to keep your skin hydrated. It feels soft and natural without a greasy, heavy feel. I would definitely buy this product again.
I received 2 free bottles of this lotion as part of the Product Review Club and have been using it for the past couple of weeks. I'm not crazy about the shape of the bottle as I prefer bottles with a pump and I found the scent to be a bit overwhelming, but it does seem to fade pretty quickly.
When I first put it on, it seemed kind of thin and I was skeptical that it would be really moisturizing but was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked- no more itchy legs! However, I do think it is a bit expensive and I don't like the scent enough to buy it for myself.
I got two free bottle from the Product Review Club. I have been using it for the last 10 day and find it a little runny for my taste. It does an average job of moisturizing the skin, I feel like it depite being runny, absorbs easily but leaves a film and leaves me craving more moisturizers. It seems like your average drug store body lotion but more absorbant. I guess I just like richer products. I think I would liked this alot more in the summer time when I need less of a moisturizer.
I was super excited to get two free bottles of Vaseline Sheer Infusion as part of the Product Review Club, but I've got to say it: I'm just not that into it. This moisturizer falls squarely into the average category for me, and for $10 a bottle, a moisturizer better be better than average. That said, I'll try to break it down into some pros and cons.
Pros:
*The texture is lightweight and silky, making it a nice moisturizer to consider in the summer
*"Vitamin" has a rather nice, perfume-y, citrus-y scent (again, good for summer)
*Admittedly, it DID prevent my legs from itching... but so do other moisturizers, so I'm not sure if that's saying much
*My skin feels soft 12 hours after application
Cons:
*There's nothing super exciting about it - no luxurious emollient moisturizers like shea and cocoa butter, the scent was kind of "sporty" rather than pretty, and (this is minor) I do not like the packaging (yes, I am influenced by packaging). Again, a little too "sporty".
*Takes a bit of time to absorb
*I found the lotion left an almost powdery film on my skin after absorbing. There is "tapioca starch" listed in the ingredients. This might be the cause?
*After trying it for three weeks, I am not convinced that three layers of my skin are being moisturized. I feel as if the moisturizer is behaving the way most moisturizers behave - they work for around 24 hours, and then either you take a shower and have to reapply, or your skin dries out and you have to reapply.
Verdict:
All in all, I wouldn't buy this again. As far as Vaseline products go, I'd stick to their amazing body butter, which works a lot better than their Sheer Infusion.
Body Lotion / 200 ml. I love the scent on this product and this scent does stay on for an hour or two. It is somewhat moisturizing, but after the moisture doesn't stay very long for my hands and feet which are usually extremely dry during the wintertime. But for the rest of my body, it was fine. / Easy to squeeze bottle however the description on the back is too small. The words are in blue while the bottle itself is also blue so very so difficult to read the small words on the back label.
I received this product from Vaseline. Vaseline is one of the few brands I can trust when it comes to lotion, and as usual this one did not disappoint. I actually hadn't used Vaseline lotion in quite some time; turns out I didn't know what I was missing.
The lotion goes on smooth, without leaving my hands sticky afterward (that was my complaint about the last lotion I used).
I received the lotion in Vitamin Burst. It's a pleasant scent, and by no means overwhelming.
The price isn't anything to shout about, but knowing it's a guaranteed hit, and that it's available at any nearby drugstore, I would purchase it.
