I got to try out this product for free so thankfully I'm no less on cash to review this. I find it to be non-greesy which is great for lotion. The scent however which many have noted on is horrible. It doesnt smell bad or anything but if you are sensitive to it you will want yourself to leave the room(if thats even possible). If this stuff was 60% less scented it would be a good lotion. However its not and I can't really reccomend it. It really needs an unscented versions for us scent sensitive people.
I got it through a Free coupon. I thought it would be fun to try, but the smell was very strong and stayed on my skin even when I tried to wash it off. I noticed no difference to the dryness of my skin and the bottle is very small. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Although the lotion seems to work well, its a small bottle and if I didn't receive the FPC, I never would have tried it. I got the botanical scent and it reminded me somewhat of a hair removal cream that I have used in the past, so I didnt like that about it. So unless its on sale, or I have a high value coupon I would not buy it again.
I'm really happy I received the free voucher in the mail for this product. There is no way I would pay the asking price for this stuff. Although it does keep my skin moisturized from one morning to another, the small amount that you get for a high cost is definitely not worth it.
Shelf price was $4.97 for small bottle.
Overall - I would say a good moisturizer - though I am not pleased with the texture. I don't think it sinks into your skin like the advertisement. I find that it leaves a thin coating on the top layer of your skin and washes off with water almost immediately.
I like the scent although a little overpowering for me.
I would not say my favorite but a good new product if you are looking to switch your moistureizer.
I would reccomend trying it but if you are looking for a not so stinky moisturizer I would suggest a different one. Maybe try one of the other two scents.
I was able to try this product for free from chick advisor. Thanks for that. I got the mineral lotion and I was happy with how soft it makes my skin but the scent is somewhat strong and it turns my hands very red from using the lotion since it has a perfume in it. I still use it though because it does heal up my dry skin just makes me hands a little red.
I received a voucher for a free bottle of the product from the product review club. So first off thank you!!
My first impressions of this product before even trying it is that it is a pretty small bottle (200ml) for the price. I believe where i picked it up (zellers) it was 7.99 which is kind of costly for a 200ml bottle of body lotion.
I have been using the product for about a week and a half and i can say i do like it. I am not in love with it and would personally not pay the currently price for it.
I have been using the botanical scent and i really like the scent. I found it to be a fairly strong scent that does last for a while and most definetly would overpower a perfume if you are a perfume wearer. However i did find the scent to be a more unisex scent as compared to most lotions out there. It is a clean fresh smell unlike the flowery ones that are out there too.
I found the lotion to work pretty good. It wasnt oily or stick, it did soak in pretty fast. Nothing is worse than trying to get dressed after putting lotion on... clothes sticking and what not.. but this lotion to not do that. As for 2x the moisture. It did moisturize.. but not any more than my usual moisturizer that i use so im not sure about the 2x the moisture that they are advertising.
All in all i liked this product but wouldnt buy it over my usual moisturizer based on price and size.
So i guess yes i would recommend this product... but it certainly did not WOW me.
I received my voucher for a free full-size Vaseline Sheer Infusion moisturizer last week and when I went to pick it up at the store, I was choked at the price! 9.99$ (at Shoppers Drugmart) for a body moisturizer is not cheap...
So I was glad to pick it up for free!
Personally I was disapointed with the product. My skin gets dehydrated sometimes, especially during winter time but it is not dry. My skin did not absorb the cream properly and left it feeling a little sticky.
And the sent of the cream is so strong that it overpowered any perfume that I put on...
I guess if your skin is extremely dry and if you rarely put on perfume it might be ok, but for me it wasn't good enough...
I just received my free full size sample coupon in the mail last week and got the product from Wal-Mart this week. I've been using the lotion after my shower everyday. I got the one with the Vitamin scent and I love it! I like the way the lotion leaves my skin moisturized. I find it perfect for winter. However, it tends to be a bit greasy, so I'm not sure I would still use it during summer.
