Just writing this review makes me feel the pain all over again.
When it comes to my legs, waxing is my hair removal method of choice, and I've become pretty efficient at doing it myself in the comfort of my home.
I'm not sure why I took the risk and purchased wax strips from Veet again.I had bought another version of their strips last year and it was a disaster of epic proportions. I'm an optimist though, and I thought maybe it was just me the first time around.
I am quite sure now that it is not just me.
The first thing I noticed was that for a product formulated for sensitive skin and that boasts natural inspiration and ingredients the fragrance was heavy. The main ingredient is pine tree resin, and has aloe added as well. It doesn't smell like pine trees or aloe.. its more like tropical apple, which would be OK if it wasn't quite so strong.
I warmed up the wax by rubbing it in my hands and the strips came apart easily. So far so good.
I smoothed it onto my leg, gave it a couple of rubs as directed and pulled.
My first thought was.. wow that didn't hurt at all!
And then I saw why... the paper was clean.. no hair, no wax, just paper.
All of the wax was there on my leg...mocking me for having fallen back into the Veet Wax trap.
Getting the wax of my leg was not pretty or fun so I will spare you the details.
There are lots of great brands of wax that work really, really well.
This is not one of them.
Save your money and your skin by learning from my multiple mistakes.
