I was disappointed in the VH Japanese Teriyaki Stir-fry Sauce. I received it as a sample in the mail so I tried it in a chicken stir fry. I was less than impressed with the ingredient list and found that I could make a much simpler homemade teriyaki sauce recipe at home that tasted much better. I found the VH sauce to be a little bland and ended up adding a few extra things to the sauce once cooking was finished. I know the brand VH is successful and a lot of people enjoy it but I was rather let down.
Quand je l'ai essayé je ne m'attendais pas à ce gout. Il n'a pas dutout le gout d'un teriyaki. Malgrés tout c'est quand même une bonne sauce. À essayé mais à reprendre quand ont as peu de temps pour la cuisine!
My husband can't tolerate the taste of vinegar. Tonight I made "yaki" udon using this sauce and his first reaction is why I added vinegar. This sauce has the right amount of sweetness and saltiness, however, it also carries a weird sour flavour. My husband would eat yaki udon of Japanese restaurants but he just could finish half of the bowl tonight.
VH Teriyaki Stir-fry Sauce not great at all found the taste to be gross and not enough flavour love the idea of the packages wish it tasted alot better than it looks usually love VH.
I honestly couldn't taste it. I also suck at cooking and thought the meal turned out awful. However, I had to add teriyaki sauce from another brand before the flavor really could come out.
This was just OK. Convenient for sure, and it was easy to use, but it was a tad salty for my taste. My 8yo didn't love it, either, which I was surprised by given that she typically likes most things. I think I would prefer to use another brand, or even to make my own sauce rather than use this product again.
This has a weird taste. It doesn't really taste like teriyaki and it is bland. The ingredient list is kinda sketchy. Water, sugar, corn starch is the first three ingredients and teriyaki flavour is the fourth. I would not buy this again. I would probably mix soy sauce and sugar to get teriyaki sauce instead of buying this.
