Strong aroma
I recieved this from #chickadvisor and was surprised to know that #Vichy had a hair product line as Ive only seen skincare. Ive been using this product for about a week now. You have to apply alot to cover the scalp area. It has a strong kind of minty scent when applied and tingles on my scalp. Im not a huge fan of the strong scent of this product. I did not notice a difference on my hair. maybe I need to continue it for a longer period of time to see any change at all.
I process my hair quite heavily and have noticed my hair becoming increasing more damaged as well as more breaking. This product was just what the doctor ordered, or so I thought. The menthol felt great in my dry, bleached scalp, and the conditioner was not heavy on my hair. I will even go as far as to say that I think my hair is less damaged since using this product. But sadly I don’t feel it has done anything to thicken the appearance or feel of my very fine hair.
Moisturizing but not so thickening
I've been using this balm for a few weeks now, and while it definitely moisturizes my hair without it feeling too heavy, I can't say I've seen much effect on its thickness unfortunately. Its biggest draw for me was that it helped with static. I'd be curious to know how it performs when used with other products of the line.
Not the right product for me!
I was very intrigued and excited to try this balm as my hair could definitely benefit from it, however, I was disappointed with my experience.
I found the balm did not work through my hair very well, and I had to use a lot of the product to get it worked through my hair evenly. I could feel a tingling sensation on my scalp even before it was time to rinse, and after rinsing thoroughly, the tingling remained for quite some time after my shower. I strongly suggest having your bathroom air vent working, as I found the smell almost chemical-like and it made me very queasy. Hours after my shower I could still smell the product in my hair. I found the product did feel like it thickened my hair some, but also dried it out much more in the process. I do love the fact that there are no parabens! Over all though, I think I would pass on this product in the future.
It's okay
I received this for free as part of the product review club. I have been using it every other day for about a week. I have a hard time overcoming the smell of the balm. It smells very chemical and strong. I also didn't feel that it did anything to my thicken my hair. Some positives though are that it was easy to wash off and didn't appear to leave any residue and that it did make my hair feel nice.
I continued to use this after posting my initial review. I have definitely seen a positive change in my hair. It appears brighter and more thick and full. I think changes would have been more immediately noticeable if used with the other two products in this line.
I still have a hard time with the smell though.
Not sure
I’ll be honest I #gotitfree and had a deadline to rate this. I got this a little late so I only had a chance to use it once but will update if my opinion changes.
I used this and didn’t immediately notice a change but that could be because my hair isn’t thin per say (I’m a strawberry blonde) so my hair is naturally a little thinner than average but I was lucky that my hair has always been kind of in between but it’s been thinning a little as I get older (mid 20s). So maybe I just don’t need this product. I’ll have to continue to use this to find out but I will say that it didn’t negatively effect my hair.
I would love to try it for another time.
it is something I can't explain right now if its really good, but would love to try again to see how it really works on me. for now, it was ok to me but not that I would decide to shift into as I need more time for this one to be sure.
