I can't believe how effective this product was.
My boyfriend had a bad sun burn. One application and it has helped.
I generally tan but a friend and I used this once after being in the sun and our legs felt amazing. Nice and soft.
The only down side was how you have to wash your hands right after. It is very oily.

After a pretty good burn i used the Vichy Idéal Soleil Double Usage After-Sun Care on my teenage daughter. It absorbs and starts to work right away. She played in her rugby tournament the next day after applying it twice.

I received this from ChickAdvisor with my Vichy suncream, and because the suncreams were so effective, I did not get a chance to use this on myself. However, my older children went for a visit with their grandfather for a few days and came home with very nasty burns.
I immediately grabbed this and began squirting onto their hot red skin.
I also had them use it in the shower before bed.
Their skin healed fairly well considering there was some blistering (spray was no applied to those spots), and it gave their skin enough moisture and hydration to be able to heal properly.
It works very well, but not sure about cost.

Of the three Vichy Ideal products that I tried, the After-Sun Care product is the one that surprised me the most. When I opened the box, I didn't think that this was a product I really needed or would enjoy. Boy was I wrong! After using it for a few weeks, my skin has never felt softer, including my elbows which are typically quite rough. It has definitely also helped me to maintain a nice healthy summer glow. I was recently pregnant, and I especially enjoyed rubbing the oil into my pregnant belly; I'm happy to say I got absolutely no stretch marks... maybe the oil helped? Lastly, the scent of this product is amazing. It's subtle, but is definitely reminiscent of a tropical holiday... my husband would comment how nice it smelled every time I wore it. Although the price point is a little high for my liking, a little bit really does go a long way, and I was thrilled with the results. I think that I probably would purchase this product again, especially for the summer months.

I have very pale skin, and burn very easily. Even with judicious suncreen use, it's inevitable that I'll get at least one or two significant burns in the summer. This summer has been no different.

After a weekend of fun in the sun, I felt the familiar tightness and heat on my skin from the summer sun exposure. After a cool shower, I applied the Vichy After Sun lotion and felt incredible. I loved the scent - it would likely not be appropriate for those with scent sensitivities, but it was not overpowering. The application was easy - though be sure to just use a little at a time, as a little goes a long way! The lotion helped to soothe my skin and left it feeling soft and calm. I will definitely use this product again!

OK, so you know when you watch a late night talk show and the female guest is in the chair wearing a dress and her sky-high legs are SHINY smooth as they're crossed? This does that. It's a pump and a light oil that you rub on and it makes everything shiny and smooth. It looks and feels hydrating, so much so that it can be a replacement for any body lotion. I actually researched a tad and read that this product is made of rapeseed oil that protects the skin from environmental hazards, prevents wrinkles, and reduces redness and skin sensitivity so there is some science here to back up the claims. It's a super light "oil" and doesn't feel greasy. When it's first applied it is the most shiny, but this does dissipate and is not noticeable after wearing it for 20 minutes especially if you've been sitting down, wrapped in a throw, or have been brushing against things (It doesn't come off or damage things you touch). What I love a lot about it, as usual, is the scent. It's very unique and lovely. Like a chic spa dessert... it smells fresh, beachy, edible, and like a vacation. It's super easy to get in the routine of using it after I've been in the sun, and I've also been using it before going out b/c it's so quick to apply and it makes me look smooth and enviably tan. It does make my olive skin look a lot better. It makes my tan look hydrated and healthy and youthful.
