WOW! Quel produit novateur! Je l'ai essayé à sec et j'ai beaucoup aimé, mais je l'ai adoré sous la douche. Il laisse la peau juste assez hydratée sans être collante, et on sent que la peau "expire" de soulagement après une journée au soleil. Un produit à découvrir absolument, j'en parle à toutes mes copines :)

Vichy Ideal Soleil Double Usage After-Sun Care applied well and evenly on my skin. It felt soothing and light! I would recommend this After-Sun Care. Vichy makes a great line of products for sun care!.

The instructions on this product explain that it can be used either in the shower, or on dry skin. My first experience using this was on dry skin, and it applied like a light moisturizing oil. It was not sticky or filmy once absorbed, but it was very soothing to my skin after spending the day outside.
I have also had the opportunity for the in shower application, and I must say that this is my favorite of the two methods. This left my skin feeling baby soft all day long!

First of all, let me start by saying that I like everything Vichy. Well, I did until now. It is a brand I totally trust and I have been using it for well over ten years. In all honesty, I really wanted to like this product, but I sadly didn't. While I understand how this product may be appreciated by a large group of people, I want to explain why it does not work for me, which does not mean it will not work for the next person.

This is a new product in Vichy's Idéal Soleil line. Although I have used products from the line in the past, I had not used this product or any other after-sun care by Vichy before this panel. However, I have used several after-sun care products as I suffer from very severe photosensitivity due to an autoimmune disease. What I look for in an after-sun care product is not only moisture, but also a calming and soothing effect. This product does not claim to calm or soothe the skin so they are not lying, but the fact that it only moisturizes is pretty useless to me as I do not like having to use several products for one purpose.

I have to admit that I am not a big fan of oil in my skin products. Since oil is actually very trendy in beauty products lately, I have been more flexible and open-minded in order to understand what the fuss is all about. Some "dry oil" products have really impressed me while the "regular oil" ones seem to always miss the mark, which was the case here. I hate the oily, greasy feeling and the fact that I need to wash my hands repeatedly to get that gross sensation off my skin.

The instructions state that the product can be used on dry skin or in-shower. I did both, neither worked for me. I first started by using the product on dry skin. I did not feel like it absorbed properly and it left a greasy film on my skin that I just couldn't stand so I had to do my best to remove it with soap and water, which was not easy.

Then I figured I would probably be luckier with the in-shower application. No such luck. I found the results to be very similar. Again, it might be an excellent product for anyone who does not mind oily products, but it's just not for me. I did however think that the fragrance was quite nice.

There is also a warning on the bottle, in bold characters, that suggests you rinse your shower after use to avoid slips and falls, but I fail to see how that helps while you are in the shower using the product. My ceramic tiled shower quickly became very slippery so I'd recommend proceeding with caution.

I personally would never buy this product. I could only recommend it with to whoever likes using very oily beauty products. After being in the sun, I need something cool to apply to my skin, like products containing aloe, willow bark, mint, etc. Unfortunately, this product did not hit the spot for me.

I really love that this can also be used in the shower, as it made it easier to apply. I usually use oils on my skin, and while they are inconvenient to apply, I find that they are very moisturizing. That being said, this is my first time using an after-sun care product. This made my skin soft and moisturized. With this being a spray, I actually found it made it quite easy to apply as it dispersed well. When applying this dry, I use my regular lotion followed by this to help keep in the moisture.

I would definitely recommend this for those with dry skin. But even so, an oil product like this is very good to help keep moisture in your skin, and for the amount of product you get, it does go a long way.

Je n'aime pas ce produit. Il hydrate bien et il es vrai qu'il es apaisant, par contre l'odeur es beaucoup trop forte. Je trouve le produit trop huileux et un peu trop dispendieux. S'il serais moins parfumé et un peu moins huileux il serait parfais. Le côté huileux ne m'embête pas tant que cela, je peut m'y faire, mais l'odeur es trop prononcé.

J'aime beaucoup les deux autres produits solaire vichy que j'ai essayer, mais je ne recommande malheureusement pas ce produit-ci.

I used it on my very dry legs after being in the sun. Right after application the skin felt greasy, but it didn't absorbed the oil much, it looked dry as it was before.

I received this product as part of the Chick Advisor Vichy campaign and, while I liked the other two products that I received with it, I'm really glad I didn't pay for this! As far as I could tell it didn't really DO anything except add a little moisture into my skin. Body lotion does that too and it's a lot cheaper and doesn't make an oily mess. After using this dry (not in the shower, which is one of two options for use), my skin felt like I'd poured olive oil on it. It was a really unpleasant feeling and I washed it off pretty quickly (not easy to do because of the oiliness - I had to resort to dish soap to cut the grease).

To be fair to the product, I also used it once in the shower. While it didn't feel quite as gross applying it that way I still didn't care for it and it made a slippery mess in the shower. This one was a pass for me.

OMG I am in love with this product!! My skin becomes so dry and itchy in the summer and no amount of cream relives it! This stuff has made my skin so soft!! And not just while the oil is on it but long after as well. It hydrates my skin after being out in the sun for 8 hours and is still hydrated the next day! I use it in the shower after I wash, once rinsed off and towel dried it's not greasy feeling at all. Must be careful though it makes shower very slippery!

I received this product through the Product Review Club. This is my least favourite of the Vichy products that I received. While it does leave my skin feeling soft and moisturized, as well as soothing sun damaged skin, I find it does not absorb well and leaves a slick residue.
