A self-tanner for those who don't like self-tanner

I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of self tanner as I often find them high maintenance and finicky. This one is different however; I find it much more of a tinted moisturizer than a true self-tanner. It has a smooth texture and feels quite moisturizing on my skin; the scent is not one of a typical self tanner either - it's kind of a soapy fragrance but pleasant.

I can be quite fair so I didn't find this did too much on my legs and arms that already have some colour on them; the rest of me doesn't have much colour and it gave my skin a nice glow and a little bit of colour. If you're anything but of a fair to fair-medium complexion I don't think this would do much to your skin.

I did exfoliate prior to using this and didn't experience much for streaks or patchiness which was nice. I noticed it start wearing off around the 5 day mark which is typical for products like these.

Overall this is a nice product to have on hand and I'd definitely consider purchasing it again. Please note I received this product free from Chickadvisor in exchange for a review.

J’adore le lait hydratant auto-bronzant de Vichy! La crème a une belle texture, elle s’étend bien et elle sent divinement bon. Elle laisse un beau bronzage d’apparence naturelle!

Love the sensation!

At first, when I got my VICHY IDÉAL SOLEIL MOISTURIZING SELF-TANNING MILK, I thought to myself. Oh no! I hate self-tanning products. I've always had a bad experience with the ones I've tried. I must admit that the VICHY IDÉAL SOLEIL MOISTURIZING SELF-TANNING MILK actually fit with my type of skin. I think it's the sensation of the milk that really hydrated my skin. And the best part, is that it doesn't leave any marks!! I hate it when you try a tanning cream and you have spots everywhere on your skin. So yes, this is a great product! You should try it out if you're looking for an moisturizing tanning cream.

Easy and natural tan

I absolutely love how this product smells. It's light and so pleasant compared to other self-tanning products that I've tested before. The product is so creamy and applies very nicely onto the skin. My skin stays soft and doesn't look greasy.

Nice

It’s easy to apply, dries quickly and actually smells nice. It also produces a smooth, natural, medium shade of bronze.
After about 30 minutes, I was able to get into bed, and not have any of it rub off on my sheets but I found the texture a bit heavy for me.
Like most self tanners, this product lasted quite a while.  After 5 days I could still see color; by 7 days it was pretty much gone. #gotitfree for the review purpose

Un peu déçue...

Très heureuse d'avoir eu la chance de tester l'un des produits de cette magnifique gamme de produits qu'est Vichy! Ce que j'adore du produit, c'est l'odeur. Pour avoir essayé plusieurs produits auto-bronzants, il y a toujours une odeur un peu chimique qui reste sur la peau, quelque chose de faux! Je déteste cette sensation. Avec Vichy Idéal Soleil j'ai n'ai pas eu ce côté désagréable. Une douce odeur sur ma peau me donne envie de voyager :)

Seuls points négatifs, je trouve que la couleur de l'auto-bronzant est vraiment très discrète, peut-être même trop discrète. Après trois couches du produit, je n'avais pas le hâle que j'aurais souhaité. De plus, la crème reste collante plusieurs minutes après l'application ce que j'ai moins apprécié. Toutefois, elle à une texture onctueuse et surtout ne tâche pas les mains.

Rapport qualité/prix, ce ne serait pas dans mes coups de cœur, mais pour son odeur je lui donne un A+

If only there was a deeper shade!

I'm all about tanning in the summer, but I'm not about premature, aging so I reach for self tanner regularly. I usually start out with a mousse and then use a milk or lotion to maintain it.

Even though I apply boat loads of sunscreen, I always end up getting a real tan by this time of the summer. In order to test this out I decided to pick the palest part of my body (stomach) and apply this to half of it. I applied it before bed and by the morning I had an ever so slight tan. I applied it again and the results were definitely noticeable, but not anywhere near as deep as my natural tan or the faux tanner I normally use.

So although I appreciate that it does work, is streak free and doesn't smell like DHA, it just isn't dark enough for me. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a light and natural tan.

Really gives a nice sun kissed glow after one application on my very fair skin tone. It is a moisturizing milk so it takes a while to settle into the skin, because I wasn’t careful it did slip around is some spots causing it to be a little bit patchy. I have very sensitive skin and I didn’t feel any type of reaction when I used this. Little to no ‘fake tanner’ smell. Pretty pricey for the amount but still less than other fake tanners. It feels like a quality product as I wasn’t expecting high end results!

I put this on my face to give me a bit of colour, as I do not like to lie in the sun. It went on really well and did not smell like some of the other self tanners. It's recommended that you use 2 to 4 times a week depending on the colour your looking for, for me twice a week is sufficient. It worked well on my sensitive skin.

Great self tanner. I have tried others and they all tend to have that "self-tanner smell. The Vichy smell is slightly noticeable, nut not too bad. The formula works well, gradually tans, can be used daily to add darker tan. Dries quickly and is fairly moisturizing.
